OK I've just made my first signature:D Looks good?
Anyways I'm trying to get it to work here, I think it is too big. Although I've been saving other people's signatures (I'm not using them or anything) and looking at the sizes. Many of them are bigger than my sig and they can upload it here. Why can't I?

Can anyone help me?

well, it's nice, I guess. simple, and without much to it, but there's something to be said about recolouring and texturing and stuff as apposed to crazy lazor fx. good for first.

For your first it's get, the only problem is th text. And no it's not to big, it's rather small but it's not too small.

Yeah, I know the colour is messed up, I screwed up a part. I'm remaking it right now.

Anyways what about the text?
Any advice?

in a way better. as for the text, it shouldnt dominate the sig and dwarf the render. also, some people are font wores and need the perfect, most razzle-dazzle font they can find for a sig to be remotely good. go with what YOU like, it's yoiur art and if you worked hard on it, be proud of it no matter what. especially if you did it without any tuts, though when starting out... use tuts.

Hmm, well I go with what I like.
Anyways I've done my third.
EDITED
I like it way more than my first 2:D
What are tuts? How do I use them?

lol, sorry I forgot you're new to this... a tut is a tutorial. go here www.good-tutorials.com and search sigs in the search thing and you'll see what I mean.

Oh yeah, I've been using tutorials.... damn my sigs look that ugly?
Well it is hard to follow these 'tuts', since this is my first time ever using photoshop. It took my hours trying to figure out how to copy and paste. Also more hours on how to write words. Luckily the Adobe Help helped me a lot.

well, your latest is a million times better than my first! in fact, it's really cool even compared to my newer ones (my PS skills are detirorating I think...) And keep trying. I'll post my first in here later, and you can compare!

to tehrice: you should be able to google some images with a fairly plain or simple bg, wth wich you can use the magic wand select to cheat. this will give you a lower quality render, but is quick (by lower quality, I mean it will have bits of white and stuff that you will have to erase manually.) or you could use the pen tool with complex bgs. you click on the pen tool, go to the paths option, and click atround your imge to make a path. then go right click>make selection, and ctrl+c to copy it. then make a new document and paste it, and voila! render. I just made one about an hour ago of a white mage *obsession*

uhhhh could you say that again? I guess I didn't explain my question well, I want to get a normal picture and change it to a render, is there a tut for it?

okay, so you have this pic, right? It's got one dude/object you want a render of, right? first, you delete the surroundings by using the box select tool. (select the thing you want with it, go selection>inverse>delete
http://img113.imageshack.us/img113/422/mudkippertutqn4.png however you want to do it, just get it down to a small size where it's basically just your render. this makes it easier to work with, I find. then, you will use the pen tool. it looks like a caligraphy pen tip (like an old pen, kind of) and is near the bottom on the tools thing. using that, you make sure it is set to paths (in the top where your brushes would normally be there are some boxes. make sure the one selected is paths.) then, you use the pen tool like the polygon lasso. you click whenever you want to make a curve. I'll show you what I mean. (PS. Zoom in first for greatest accuracy)http://img235.imageshack.us/img235/5166/1fi2.th.gif (http://img235.imageshack.us/my.php?image=1fi2.gif)
so click the pic to make it bigger. then, you'll see the pen tool, the options you need to select, and the paths I've been making. you'll figure it out with a little experimenting. so, you surround your image with little points (did I mention the important parts are the ones circled in red?) and it looks pretty good now that it's been made into a path. (it does this automatically once your path meets your starting point) right click inside your path and go make selection. I'll add another picture.http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/7687/untitled2as1.th.gif (http://img233.imageshack.us/my.php?image=untitled2as1.gif) this one shows the path and it being right clicked. after that, a box pops up. just click ok. then you have a selection. copy the thing you have selected, and paste it in a new file. save it as a .png (they are the best) and you have a render!
