View Full Version : A good c++ book

Anybody know any good links for people like me who are just starting to learn c++. NO PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE KNOWLEDGE WHATSOEVER! I don't want an advanced I want one where it is for complete beginners. Any books or websites would be greatly appeciated thanks in advace :D.

Marx, try browsing around on the O'Reilly website, they've got some great books on Java
Including "Killer Game Programming in Java"

If you have any specific questions about Java, you can always PM me and I'd be happy to help out.

Oh, and there are also plenty of fora ou there on Java. (like the one on the sun website ).

Another good place to start is the tutorials on the sun website. If you work your way through al of those you have a pretty good grasp of almost all aspects of the language.

All the really good C++ books can be really expensive... so go to eBay or Books a Million for any computer book sales
