There are no such things as HORROR online shooters. Except FEAR but thats not horror in multiplayer only in singleplayer.

Well, I would include the Outbreak series for Resident Evil, very fun survival/horror game with nice teamwork mechanics. Unfortunately, around now there's only about 50-100 people on during prime hours when I checked it. Sucks a lot, although can't really blame it since Capcom did some strange stuff to it, some of it bad like chopping up the levels and also removing the adlib voices from the characters.

examinus is coming out and heres what you can do, download the FEAR multiplayer(free) and get the CooP mod for it and play online coop horror fps w.e for free (: though i think FEAR isnt that scary and think the people that play that need to play fatal frame 2 ;s just an opinion

Ohohohoh, The Hidden mod for HL2. Scary as hell since it's a group of guys trying to hunt down an invisible, crazed, medically messed up guy that can cling to walls and ceilings, has wall hack vision, a kabar knife and pipe bombs, oooooo! Also listen to Subject 617's voicings (617 is the invisible guy).

Edit: Darn, ZeroPain already beat me to it. Well, still a scary game, especially if you have a good Hidden player, has a voice mike, and an 'imaginative' mind, heheh.

There is actually a zombie MMORPG currently in development. It actually has a budget and will be published by a big name developer. The name escapes me at the moment so I'll update if I remember it.

There is Exanimus, It's still in pre-production, but hopefully they'll end up releasing it. It's an online multiplayer 3d zombie survival game. From what i've heard you can create factions or whatever, a guild if you want to call it that. You have to find ammo and stuff. Hopefully it's scary.

There's nothing in the gallery but concept art for now. But hey, add it to your bookmarks and hope that they'll release it instead of shutting down the project.

Like the system that they're working on. You level up not based on how many zombies you kill or everything you do, it's how long you survive. You level up when you survive X amount of time, but you lose all of it if you die, so makes people have to think smart. Know they're gonna get a few 'calls' from folks saying that they're promoting cigarettes, heheh.

the hidden mod isnt really scary when tons of people are playing , but if your the only one alive , it gets pretty exciting / scary

Yep, it's especially scary if the Hidden is particularly sadistic. I dare anyone to not be freaking out when bodies mysteriously drop from above or objects are thrown around or at you.
