I went to their forums and they're really talking about a cash shop... but, as far as I could understand (they mix English with Ph's language), they were talking about P2P with cash shop.
BooNeZ, if you're going to interview one of the founders of Ph LUG you can ask that and give us the information latter.

We are already thinking about that because of our 2 next games, Grand Chase and Gunz: The Duel. We would like it to be free just like any other online game communities like e-games. There's gonna be 3 casual games free, and 1 mmorpg free. It will probably be true because of the hosting payment we need, is already finished.

ialways had so much fun fighting low lvls.. i never did get past lvl 27 :(

This game is pretty fun and it surprisingly kept my interest longer than most of these Asian MMOs, I think I got to level 5X and had two other 3X chars before I quit. I'm not really a hard-core grinder and for me by lvl 50 ish after I got my cart I found little else to do except repeatedly attack the same mobs for hours and hours, but heck I'll probably give this a shot anyway, because I recall it being fun from 1-50 for me. Lots of people I saw got past lvl 100 and near 200, but to me that is wayyyy to much grind. It eventually gets to the point where it'll take you a good 6-7 hours to level up and I can't handle that much boredom.

rose was fun. i liked the graphics and the fairy tale- like music is not too bad.

and i do agree with u about the 6-7 hrs of grinding is too...waste of time... but u might still do it for a while and then when u cant take it anymore, ull give up. XD

i guessing the philippine version will be f2p but not the Na version, ragnarok has been out for years and its still p2p, unless gravity is goin to be nice and actually make is f2p

yea im playing it rite now im a warrior lvl 23 and my bro just started and hes a lvl 43 hawker u need 2 try it

when i played this game when its was in its beta stages i thought it was ok. then when it became p2p i was like forget that. then i have more time to look for other games. i can compare this game similiar to flyff honestly. its very similar. one u can fly and the other u drive a go kart. but ne ways i like rose better in detail and graphic wise. and btw i dont think this game is good enuff to be pay to play cause u can find other game so similar to this.

yes, all of the npc convos, item names & etc are all translated into english depending on your proxy,
so the server reads your proxy and determines whether or not the display ingame would be in korean or english.
there are still alot of korean players around though, so even if you can read the npc names, convos and other convenient things, you might have a harder time asking help from the korean players >;
& i rarely play anymore so >.<;; you can msg Luxia ingame (tartan on onrpg),
i think she still plays so you can ask her for help in kRose~

All threads were linking to an old version of the list dated October 9, 2006, which we already updated to October 16, 2006.

Apparently, there was a mistake with the publication of the October 16 updated list and it instead stayed as "for members view only".

It was corrected already.

In a telephone interview with hackenslash, Paul said that with the official announcement of the consolidation, the Level Up! distributed games will follow the hybrid subscription methods of netGames.





(The article earlier stated that Level Up! would adopt a hybrid free-to-play method wherein games can be played for free but special items used to upgrade game characters can only be acquired by buying them in virtual shops. Paul, however, has issued a clarification, saying that Level Up! won't be making their MMOGs free-to-play.

"By a hybrid model for our games, we mean that players still have to pay subscription rates, but they will also be able to buy items on the website," Paul said. "We aren't making our MMOGs free."--Ed.)



"We will be starting with ROSE Online in November and this will be followed by the other games," Paul said.
