Cool. Very simple and clean. But please, I beg of you, another color! That thing's too bright, If I seriously try to visit your page I might just end up getting one step closer to loss of vision. Or maybe it's just the sharp change from orange to white, then to orange again. o_O

Its not simple, It took me fucking ages. Its extremely hard. One of the most demanding peices of work ive done in my art career. Yes the colours are bright if you have a bright monitor. Put your brightness on default. IT WILL look better. As for the orange, i love orange. I thought it will give it a nice warm and welcoming feel.

That looks really awesome... except instead of "Gentle Flames", it reminds me of... Citrus and orange juice. Heh.

Nice. I think it would look pimpin in sky blue and lime green lol but then again the whole point of the layout is to make it welcoming, bright, engergetic, etc., so the color is great for that.

Oh, wait, let me clarify what I meant though. I'm just talking about the layout in itself, not including the banner, or the background. Non-the-less, it's still pretty cool. My eyes just need to get adjusted I guess.

Well its hard to really inform you of how i did this web design exactly, considering most of you guys have never done a web design before. Well, Looking about i saw alot of inspiration, my ideas are very original but the thing that inspired me most was a website about oranges. It was describing oranges in such an entrancing and mystical way, because of my deluded gfx based mind an image of an orange based website started to appear in my head. I decided to design a website using this image. My web designing skills were limited at the time. But after experimenting, close observation, and talent. I was able to produce that webdesign. But darn, it was hard. Yet at the same time it was fun. I sugest you, kcblack and maybe ravon should start trying out web designs.

I never like web designing anyway, i am more into large pieces if you ask me to produce a largescale work.

The most money recieved from an artistic talent is in the web design industry. Anyhow, i havent seen many LPs from you, well awesome ones anyway. Yours sigs are really good and i advise you to keep devoloping your talent in that sector.

Sadly, I agree with your statement to yourself, keep to sig design. Or at least rethink what you made. Orange is a anger color, or a pain color, it shows eye trama, let or lone brightness, you have to understand, the general consensus overwelmed with displeasement, you need to rethink you design, not tell them to turn down their brightness, you have to consider, most people will be in his position. Now, you showed you put a lot of work into this, and I see that. In the art world, as long as you show incredible effort, it makes up for the quality, however, in the web design world colors, placement and banners are everything, and you have shown to be a "noob" at this, and you seem to be unwiling to take input. Bright Orange (FFCC00 or 255:204:0) is and never will be the basis color for any decent website. Now, after seeing your posts, you're next move will be obnoxiously defensive, and unwilling to take in bad input. None at all, you ask for it, and you hate people who point this out to you, and thats just plain obnoxious. You are a great signature maker, a brilliant one, and I advise you rethink your plan for the site, before submitting this one.

As for orange, it gets people angry, and people will be slightly distressed when viewing the site because it takes the eyes so long to register the color cordination.


Furthermore, I figure your going to defend yourself stating, "You've never made a website before!" or something to that extent.


Currently I am working for my father on http://www.mshcdirect.com/ and I work for him as a web artist, happily, you can see one of the works that I was a major part in at http://www.michelaaliotopier.com/ and I don't deny it, it needs work but for a cheap price, I along with http://www.bluestatedigital.com and my fathers graphic art team (of 3) designed this site for Allioto.

Your next line of defence will probably be, "Look at MMORPGHell! It's not good looking!".

All of them for finished peices are extremely bland and boring, neither innovative nor creative or artistic. Just plain boring. Enough of that back to the real business..

Everyone has an opinion, and i find yours awkward considering you think the colour orange is distressing. Many websites use orang. And orange is a celebrated colour. Many find it energetic.

If you think all websites should be the same, i dont think you have the write to be so heavily critsizing. Anybody who uses internet terminology on such a serious matter shouldnt be taken seriously at all. Thats why ill simply mock you. I place things properly, as for a compact and small design its well placed. Having a banner etc. Its not a big design only 800*600. Seeing your artwork, i obviously doubt you made those web designs. Only accomplished artists can make designs, even though they arnt of a particulary good quality.

Im not flaming i just disagree with your post. As for people getting distressed, i find it amusing.

Stop trying to be clever kid. Just post properly, so people understand you. From your post i can easily recognise you obviously dislike the design which is something i respect. Not everybody will like it. Its aimed for art enthuisasts who would like zest and power to the design. Not boring sterotypical silver blue websites. I chose the colours for a reason. Ill be making more designs. Hopefully better.

I wont be held up with your foolish ramble. I shall continue to web designs, and i shall keep doing web designs until i perfect my style. I will definitly not follow your opinion. You feel i am a rival so you try and stop me from unlocking my true potential your pleading for me to stop. Its obvious your doing that, you think your the only web designer on this forum. I guess I should take some of which you said to be true, and I declare it is. I truely didnt like the color orange, especially as a basis color, it just hurts my eyes, and if I recall a few other members.
As for the professional team, it's actually quite good for such a low pay, and I can truely say that our team did not have to worry about time all to much. I hope you do unlock your true potential, and I truely do, and nor do I think I'm the only web artist/designer while I am sitting around Roon, Saint, Sandman, etc. You have no idea how much respect I have for you to even make the site, it's obnoxious, and I think that if you change your color setup, I'd like it a whole lot more, or, on entry, give us either option. Now, as for the site, it was for politics, and it actually works for the general market/group of people we were attempting to apeal to, and it worked, her place in the polls skyrocketed after the site came out, and the other individual running against her for the district dropped the race.

Furthermore, when the elections are over, I shall be editing the site and putting something stating "Availer, here's proof" or something to that extent, however, I truely don't want to effect the election in any way, even if the other man, pretty much gave up. The site, as I stated, runs on a engine that my dad's company likes to use called "Expression Engine" which is a popular engine in the web design field.


Lastly, I do see you put an amazing ammount of effort into this, however, my fear is that you'll put this much effort into all of your sites, and if you get payed for it, the more you get payed the more people expect more from you, and you're doing your best into this, imagine the problems.




Nonetheless, I think you raise some good points, and some bad ones, althought I am not in the mood to argue.

I just have a little opinion that you can just shrug off as everyone else does with my opinions xD

I feel the color orange is not distressing or anything of the sort but its to distracting to the eye..When I viewed it all my eyes were focused on was the orange everywhere.

Orange is an intense color and it does symbolize strength & ferocity, but maybe intense and fierce was what you were going for but then it wouldn't be called gentle flames. -_-

Overall the design its is very soft and calming (like it) but the color is distracting and intense.

I remember the days when I used to do that. But I forgot a lot of major things about coding. So now I have to call on someone for help each time, and I feel like a moron. =/

Availer, bear in mind that OnRPG is not a graphic site, so don't expect any helpful inputs about your web design. Chill out dude, whenever someone posted something you see not fitting, you became very very defensive. Learn to bear with it, like i do.
