note: to gt dogtags, you knife someone. Knifing allies does not get you tgas, it just gives you a kick in the bum (and a negative score)

i got about 200 and i started to play less than 2 weeks ago.

Yeah, I might have had more, if I didn't have everythiong due these last 2 weeks.

I also got very curious because many people I have seen either have very few or none at all. I gues there are a lot of un couragouse people on the servers.

I have "officially" 89/94 but I know I should have at least another 40 or 50 more, but due to EA's stat server screw up the first few days I will never get those back. No biggie though.

2nd -- If you loved BF2 and you love futuristic combat themes, you'll love 2142.
\--Otherwise, there has been some diehard BF2 fans to not like the game.

My suggestion would be to try out the demo.

In truth, BF2142 maps get boring quick, but the game is just so addictive. It gameplay mechanics just keep you wanting more even though you think you've had enough. (Did I mention major stat tracking and weapon unlockables)

There aren;t that many vehicles in the game, yet; however, DICE has hinted in their latest newspost that the updates will not include additions to the game, meaning that there should be an addition pack coming out soon, for hopefully a very cheap price.

Yeah the demo is quit boring, considering the fact that all the fun weapons are unlockables (he he, C17'ing the mech's while using active camo)

But if he enjoys the demo, there is a strong possibility he will enjoy the game.

i gave up with the active camo i jut APM everything and c4 stuff...explosives rock

I prefer defibrillator kills (yes, if you shock an enemy in the back with the medic defibrillator, it kills them.), but unfortunately you don't get tags for it.

I think that was actually under a little controversy as to whether or not a defib kill gets you a tag. The reason they didn't do it is because unlike the knife, you could have the defib out to resurect someone, with a knife, it's only because you really want that tag.

ANyway, not playing much right now. Ever since a storm last night, my wireless has ben giving me serious lag, not to mention that 2142 crashes, now, everytime I finish just 1 round. <= oh the pain!!

defib = defribulator, a device used to resurect a player.

The defib lets raise the "near" dead (aka, the player is not vaporized by an explosion and is waiting for the respawn counter to finish) and due to its powerful shocking ability, can be used against enemies to kill them.

When it comes to BF series, DICE ensured that there was a sense of "do what you want" and realism.

For instance, one can kill another just by jumping on top of them.

The UK has it better, not by the game, but what came with it.

I've looked at the UK manual online, and it explains so much more that the US version. Ya'll even have a listing of how many points are recieved for each respective action. In the US manual, all it explains is how to install and un multiplayer, everthing else is expected to be known of ya.

But I like the US box art better than the UK.

The BF series is specifically targeted toward online teamplay gameing, thus the game is greatly involved in online multiplay (there is a single player, but the bots are only able to function with a max of 16 bots)

Demo is only Online, but start to expect there to be a lot of TKers due to the lack of ranking in demo and the fact that many people have already moved on to the retail version.

Also, if you have a BF2 account, make sure you sign up with the Veteran's program to receive a free, instant promotion bundled with a little 2 by your name to signify that you play BF2.

With BF2, they started doing $10 bonus maps and vehicles packs; thus, it's only wise to assume that there will be some expansion packs for 2142.

--Please note, I didn't say they released any info yet, it's based on the fact that 2142 has ver few vehicles and the previous experience from BF2.

this is how you do: take a transport heli stay over the enemy titan and then a passenger have to switch seat. for every time the passenger switch seat the pilot gets 1 point.

btw. you have to fly high/medium over the titan to get points.
