ok i need help whith the lineage 2 private server? is it free? what does it mean by PRIVATE and how do i get to it? also do i need a paid lineage 2 account to use it? Someone please explain this is to me!

private servers are illeagal. they're like counterfits, copied disks, look at it as if you created a song that everyone liked. and everyone started downloading it for FREE. thats what its like. yeah some people feel your pain about getting stuff like that. but just don't talk about it here.

Private servers are sort of like emulators of the official game. Take L2 for example, the private server would have no relation with the company that made the official game. The only relation they would have is they're using the same story, images, music (most of the time) and maps (most of the time)
(The coding is also different)

Yes, private servers are illegal as it's copyright infringement. I know people who have been taken to court for running a private server.
If L2 (Official) find out who you are (in official game) and what you're doing, they can ban your account.
