i am getting pissed off with the people who consider, Warrock, Gunz, and Rakion an MMO, FFS it is not an MMO. The definition of an MMO is massively multiplayer online, this meaning that large number of players can connect and play on ONE server at once! Warrock, Gunz and Rakion support 8-32 players on one server. An Example of an MMO is Planetside which accepts 400 players on the same server, so now you dumbasses know what an MMO is >:(

Dunno what Emergence day is. Sounds cool. I'll look it up.

I believe Emergence Day is the day that Gears of War is released. It's over-hyped, much like any game coming out in November.

And it's released in the 7th of November.

Yes, this is an mmofps forum; however, due to the fact that there are few true mmofps games out there that we often start talking about non-mmo titles.

However, since Gears of War is a console title, I don't believe that this should be talked about on this forum section.

Personally, I agree that Gears of War has too much hype and will end up being another Killzone look alike. To me, it just looks like GoW has too little plot to hold me interested and is just another game for the "Mindless Drones" ...

I mean, seriously, the people who love Halo are going to love this. I like my console game to contain an indepth story are varying different gameplay modes. I don't want to play in the "seemingly" same enviornment for hours killing the same guys, just for the purpose of "It's war!"

That's my opinion though. But seriously, these forums are meant for games played online (primarily), most of which are PC only.

The gameplay looks great; however, it just seems too repetitive. I just don't have any hype about this game, and in all of the videos and previews for it, I have found to seem somewhat unfullfilling.

All be it there is always fun in a good space marine game, I won't be surprised if it ends up like Killzone (spoken of rarely).

Anyway, good luck to your gameplay experiences, I'll hold off my hype till after the game proves itself.

Its a great game, good graphics, good campaign, good gameplay, and amazing multiplayer, i've already played with some people off these forums, and we had a helluva time, if anyone is lookin for a 360 game, look no further, gears of war is the killer app

personally, I stopped following the game after watching the E3 trailer... it look really repetitive due to the "stick to wall -> flip over + cool dust effects"x10 sequences...

IGN gave it a 9.4 Gamespot gave it 9.6. Im SOOOOO sure that its repetitive *insert sarcasm*

but ya gears of war MP is the shiet because of all the cover and you actually do have to use teamwork, something unheard of in halo2 MP or Fears MP

Yep, GoW MP is very tactical unlike Halo, you actually have to take time to use your cover and move around. And I too think Halo is a very overated game, oh and Ghostunit 4v4 is perfect for this game, and fear multiplayer has no tactics involved whatsoever

GOD fear sucks so much. I though i was gonna puke when i played the multiplayer the single player is alright though. How can you say the multiplayer is good all you do is run around like a idiot and if u see someone boom. No tactics or anything. (Gets ready for a flame war probabley)

Anyways, What I do like about Gears Of War is it's innovative camera angles. When your running the "Running jounalist" camera angle is pretty tight. The thing I don't like is that this is one of those games where you beat the campaign in 5 hours. Or atleast it looks like it.
