Ok, Ive had warcraft 3 for maybe 3 years and iv only played it once online. In that one game i was cursed at by everyone in the game and they kept spamming noob. Well my friend sayed something about the game the other day (nothing important just about it was a rts) and it stuck in my mind . Well now im thinking about playin this game again cuz i heard there were still tons of plp who play. So im looking for someone or maybe a clan to take me under there wing and teach me the in's and out's of W3. Im willing to learn so plz help thanks.

minimadman, i've heard that dota is a really awesome mod for W3. I just wanted to let you know.

Ive been playing W3 and learning and getting things out faster, But still not fast enough i still get rushed. Dont know what im doing wrong

nah.... dota isn't a mod, dota is a custom map fer frozen throne! as for madman, i think u should learn how to dota.... its wat keeping those ppl that play warcraft 3....

well, you should fint strats or stuff on the net, but i never listen to strats and use my own builds and yeah

well, the reason your not rushing fast enough is that you lack working force to mine your lumber/gold, or your teammates are noob, or your not building right ^^

i play orcf and i always start out not building anything, i put all my orcs on mine, then make 1 peon, get that build burrow, then make 5 more, when the 2nd peon comes out build a altar and when the third one comes out have him lumber till he gets a warmil, then build a warmill, and depending what your getting, troll hunts or grunts get like 5 of them and then upgrade their weapon at warmill, and then start your upgrade on your great hall and then when its done:

if you had head hunties for the rush: build 2 beastries, then make some wind riders, and then when you have a few upgrade your hall to max and then max out the armour and weapon at warmill, and then get envemoned spears and just mass from there

if you have grunts for rush: keep upgrading hall to fortress, while its upgrading
upgrade the weapaons to 2 and the armour to 2 and (if you want, dont do if a ally already has shamans) get a spirit tower and upgrade youe shamans to master and mass taurens, you dont need many shamans

IMPORTANT: i didnt include how to build excatly after upgrade, i excluded expanding and building burrows, i was too lazy

to rush raiders: start out as 5 peons on mine, make 6 peons, make the first peon that comes out town hall to build burrow, then make a warmill, then upgrade your hall when you can, when its upgrading build 2 more burrows, and then build a altar of storms and if you want, upgrade weapons(suggested) then build 2 beastaries

**important: this has shit defense aganist a rush, if you see a sign of a rush dont try this

ok man, i cant exactly teach you how to play from a forum. but i can give you a few tips.
No.1 KNOW YOU'RE ENEMY. scouting is you're best friend, send a peon/worker/wisp/acolyte to scout him out.

No.2 If he is night elf. there's a few things elf players like to do nowadays, they 1, either rush with a demon hunter and a few archers. 2, the more professional players will get archers/druids of the talon/chimaeras, in which case, good luck to you.

No.3 if he is orc. this is a no brainer, hes either going to mass wyverns, or rarely even mass shamans/witch doctors/head hunters. PS: watch out for tower rushes vs orc, always make sure u can see a large perimeter around you're base.

No.4 if they are human. well, alot of people think human are the weakest race, seriously, never underestimate an experienced human player.
chances are you'll be fighting gunmen/priests/sorceress which is a very difficult thing to kill. (ocasionally human players may mass gryphons.)

No.5 finally, undead. NEVER mass air units vs undead, undead players 19/20 times will mass crypt feinds and web down you're air units.

Ok now on to buildings.
As orc: Always build a shrine for a hero, and a burrow for food first.
As human: Once again, get a shrine, and a house or 2.
As night elf: Same as always, get a shrine and a moon pool.
As undead: Ok heres where it changes a bit, get a graveyard, a shrine, and the undead barracks, mine a bit, then get some more food.

Ok always kill creeps, creeps show up as green yellow and red dots on the map (get the green ones first, then as you get more units, get the red/yellow ones). creeping will put you at a large advantage, creep as soon as you get you're hero and 2-3 units.

Well, i hope this helps someone. PS: this is a reign of chaos guide, id sugjest learning RoC before moving to frozen throne (players aint that friendly on TFT).

well, one thing ive found with dota, is players who are pro at ladder, can learn dota alot better/faster than others.
