It seems OnRPG has gone in a complete cycle of flaming, trolling, leaving and returning. It makes no sense if you ask me. The last time this happened, the whole community seemed to have had gone hostile towards each other and it resulted in a bunch of newbies taking the opportunity too troll their asses off while the mods were busy with all the flaming. That, in turn, spawned a hate for the mods and their "inactivity", so many of the people left, and got flamed for doing so. Only a few have returned since then, and it pains me to see it happening again. We lost a lot of good members the last time it happened, and this time I fear that everyone will be gone and the community will just degrade down too a society where everyone flames each other and the likes. Just recently, Saint had made his leave public, which brings me to fear this even more rightfully so. The moment the community drives one of the respected mods to leave is the moment we all know something is wrong. I truly hope Saint revises his decision and returns too us soon.
As for me, I've been by OnRPG's side since as long as I can remember. I will not leave and I will endure everything that you can throw at me. It just brings me to the verge of sorrow when I come back after a couple of days and find that my fellow people are leaving over something so trivial. So, I say it now and I say it proud: I will stand by this community's side and do everything I can to see it prosper. I will strive to make it a better place for me and you!

Please, leave this thread now and NEVER come back. My main goal was to see who was still loyal to OnRPG and who would help me try to maintain the glory it once held. If we could just enforce the rules slightly better, I think this place would become even better than it once was, but right now, the community is dying and there is no denying it. Besides, did you even read the post? I never mentioned DDC or Qennin in it, and I am NOT talking about them. What I am talking about was probably before your time, so you wouldn't know anything about it. Butt out, and leave...please!
EDIT: You know, as soon as I saw that you were online, I was hoping that you wouldn't post in this topic. Although I knew it was futile, I made it anyways because I knew that some of the older members would agree with me, even if you didn't.
EDIT2: I never said I like Saint either. He's just a respected by a lot of people on this forum, and his leaving is a big blow to the community due to the fact that he's a mod. I mean, yeah, they can find another person, but that takes time. They have to be sure that the person is trustworthy, loyal, etc.

You are completely grasping what I was saying wrong. If we were to make the rules more widely known, then people would follow them. Ok, you've been here for a long time, that is why I said "probably". If you can't grasp the concept of that word, then you won't know what I'm talking about. I never said I was gonna do anything about them! READ THE POSTS! I said that we should all stand up and try to keep the community a better place, instead of it spiraling downwards. Losing them to such a cause was sad indeed, but there is no way they will come back if they haven't already. Even if they were to come back, they would probably take one look at the community and leave. Sorry if I'm being a little harsh, but I seriously don't like the hostility you are presenting towards me!

I care. I had many friends on the old forums, and I lost them too a simple flame. It happens too frequently, and I just wish I can talk to some of those people again. That is why I don't want this community to die...I'm not saying it's headed there (far from it, if you ask me), but it could happen in the near future if we don't realize where this is going.

Mods/Members are leaving for the most retarded reasons. OnRPG is a community where people discuss and have fun. Every public forum has flamers and spammers. Forums aren't supposed to be perfect; so don't expect this one to be.
There are many loyal members in OnRPG...and whatever happens, I'm sticking with OnRPG.

I've liked this forum from the start, and my thoughts are not going to change. I'm going to be here for a long long time.
I'm sorry to here that things like this have happened before, but it's part of being in a forum. People come, others go. There are certain times where the flaming becomes extreme, and members get mad. However, I hope this will not be like the last time something like this happened. Hopefully, no one will blame the moderators since it's not their fault. They all have lives of their own, and no one can expect someone on every moment of the day.
Meanwhile, we have new rules set up, and breaking them will get you more 'extreme' consequences. With that, most of the spammers will be gone.
Members leaving is out of our control. They can do what they want, and they probably leave because of a good reason. If some of the more popular members leave, others follow in their footsteps, which usually leads to the decrease of members.
Anyway, I'm with this forum. Lets see what happens shall we?

Endless, you may not see it, but OnRPG is going to be doomed to repeat its past. This has happened before, and with the leave of Saint I fear that others will follow in his footsteps. I really don't know what else to say for I have said most in my previous posts. I leave you to decide the fate of OnRPG. Will we come out on top, or go down kicking and screaming? It's up to the community to decide how they will act and what their actions will do.

Saint leaving will not bring onRPG into chaos. If only people would stop bringing it up. What he did was his choice. Read my posts again, I've said that this is just the way all forums are.
The people here who make out community bad know who they are. They may get some of the older members to leave, but that does not mean the the community is doomed. We will always have a community here, and poeple leaving won't change that. Everyday, when people leave, others join. It might be weird at first, since you do no know the new person, but relationships will bond.
You never know; we might lose a member, and gain another more valuable member.

Yes, but many people don't realize Saint did it out of choice, and they will eventually leave themselves, fearing something that may be unseen. But that's not what this topic is about, let's set that to rest. This topic is more about how OnRPG is going in a circle. It's happened before, and it is doomed to happen again with the way the forums are now, as I have previously stated. What I'm saying is that it's up to the community to decide how this will play out. In a very off the wall analogy, we can take a sharp turn left down the peaceful road, or just keep cruising down the highway we are now. Things are destined to change, I realize that, but some things we can change for the better, and not the worse. It's all a matter of choosing right from wrong.
EDIT: Don't pull any of that "What makes you think this is the right choice" crap on me either. Look at your options. You can have a dystopian/dictatorship forum society where the mods are as strict as can be and everyone is a mindless posting drone, or you can have a nice community where people interact with each other and make friends with the occasional spamming and flaming. It's not a hard choice...

EDIT: Damn, is everyone trying to get a job as a moderator now?
Why the hell would I want to be a Mod? I mean, I could help the community, but it would be a BIG responsibility and require me to actually get on OnRPG more than twice a week, and I can't do that. There is no way I am running for being a mod, and if I were selected, I would turn down the option to do so. Leave it at that and don't argue it because I find it ignorant that you automatically assume that people are trying for Mod positions just because the current ones are leaving. As I said, it would take time to find out if the person is trustworthy, etc.

You see what's happening? This is the same crap that happened last time. One person left and that ended up being the catalyst for the countless other members that left and those members that had left were the catalyst for others that had left, and it just keeps going on. It eventually stopped where we only had a few of the old members, and some came back, but the forums seemed lifeless after that...like a ghost town. It ended up being a complete disaster for the once peaceful community we once had. Afterwards, we had a sudden surge of newer people come in, almost like a tidal wave, and they didn't help much. Because of hostility gathered from the people's hate towards the mods, they started taking it out on other people, and that's when the rules were more tightly enforced to make sure it didn't happen again. Then we had a small time of peace. There may have been slight flaming, and lots of accusations that were not meant, but they were some of the better times we've had...here we are again, though. Even after more strict enforcing of the rules, we have still come back around in that circle and are about to take the turn into a complete chaos once again. Flaming everywhere, spammers noticing their chance to what they do best, trollers jumping around inside the forums, more people leaving, and it all eventually comes out happy in the end with us keeping even fewer of the older members and the wave of newer people would, again, rush in, and then the whole thing starts over again. It seems that these whole forums are falling down around us, and it may be true, but we can help disarm this threat! So, seriously, who wants the old OnRPG back?
EDIT: Wow...did not mean for that to sound like a sort of pep speech...
EDIT2: Or a brief, dumbed down history lesson...

Meh, I used to be a member back when ONRPG was still in it's youth. Many of you have probably forgotten about me and that's cool, yet I remember when a lot of the older members were nice and helpful.
Chrono was active, Saint was the Journalist, ect...Good times.

Manic, it really is sad to see you leave. If you're leaving due to the things I say, don't. Just tell me what I'm doing wrong, and I'll change.
You're one of the few people at onrpg that I respect. It may not mean anything to you, but it's really sad to see someone like you leaving just because of a few posts here and there.
Please reconsider...
