Suprised no one has mentioned anything about Oblivion in here.
It is a bit hyped I guess, but it was a really fun game while I played it. The quests were great and the Dark Brotherhood Storyline was well thought out and fun to play through!

The only gripes I have about it though, is the magic system. Its just really plain. The game would have been much better, imho, if they had loads of variety spells and spell effects. Like the electricity spells they are all the same bolt effect. It seemed a bit tacky. Fair enough you can design your own spell attributes (like range and duration and such) but it just felt really tacky using them.

Thoughts?

Yea I know what you mean about the spells but all in all it was a really fun game. The DB quests were great!! I havent finnished the main quest line yet but I'v finnished the mage and fighter guild and so I'm having alot of fun with it.

Yeah I love the game. The only trouble I have with it is killing zombies...don't know why. Their just so creepy. Also they make those weird noises. I like to kill them from a distance it's the only way I can stand it. And yes the magic probably could have been better but as long as it lets me kill zombies from a distance I'm fine :D

Well i loved the game , but after 40 hours playing it gets Quiet Boring :p ( I did main, all side quests , and all Guilds But Mage:p ) not really much content :p I also closed all 16 portals :P. But i didnt really Bought it , so i doesnt really matter :D:p

Well i have trubunal, and it stoped working on my pcs. I hate it, it was my favorite game and i cant play it anymore.

Ya, Oblivion was a great game, but it was too short in my opinion. They should have made it long, kind of like Morrowind. And the puzzles weren't that hard which bugged me. I've tried to make it a little harder using the Construction Set, but I only succeeded in exploding my character. :P There were a couple things wrong with the game, but all in all, it was a great game. The battle system was pretty fun too, not like Morrowind at all. I think if I had to rate the game I would give it an 8 out of 10 because of its brevity and its lame storylines. (Yes they were kind of corny, but the main quest was pretty well done)

hehe cool game havent finished, it yet is it really short? well my com laggs alot when im playing it, so more cool effects = more laggy, and besides i think they released a new patch

Oblivion is the best game I've played in a long time. Its right up there with Half-Life 2, and Star Craft.

Then again, nothing is as good as Star Craft.

...Starcraft rocks. I think Strategy/Rpg games are better though. You play Battle.Net?

I downloaded my CS, Warcraft and bought pirated Starcraft. My Indigo Prophecy, Sims, Sims 2, NFS Underground, NFS MW, and Fable is pirated. Did i mention Mp3s? So yeah, sue me. :cool:

good thing I now have a review to look at about oblivion...I was thinking of buying this game cause it says in gamespot.com, its a 9.0 rating. Worth it or not?

but once through it,

You do know by saying that your breaking the forum rules and will probally be banned. What you did is called warez and that is 1.illegal and 2. Agiasnt the rules of onrpg.

Hey Kalagaraz, stop trying to be a goody two shoes (no offense or anything) but we don't all follow the rules. The forum is actually called Single Player RPGs, so Oblivion is okay. It may not be free, but it's still single player. The way you were acting, it seems we may have a new strict mod on our hands :P

As you can see, noone cares about your opinions. By your logic, there should be no Single Player RPG section under the Onrpg MMORPG Forums section. What would a single player rpg have anything to do with MMORPG's?

Oblivion is amazing. I just can't figure out my crashing problems though. Posted at their forums, contacted Bethesda support, but it's still a crash every 10 minutes or so. Sometimes I try things, and I can play for about 30 minutes or more. Then after I stop playing, and try again...I start crashing!

There's a patch available for download, maybe that'll fix your problem. :)
