Greetings Maplers,

In a recent announcement, we stated that we will be taking a much harder approach to hacking and other forms of game abuse. We promised that we will no longer be tolerating hacking in any form. We stated that our hacking detection has been increased and our GM presence would be much greater. As many have noticed, we have kept our word. Every day as many as 500 accounts are banned for hacking, spamming, foul language or various other terms of service violations.

Many have seen their individual ranks have increased as those players who choose not to follow the rules get their accounts closed permanently. We have received many emails of praise thanking us for taking such a hard stance on these players who have no respect for the rules or other players around them. We thank those of you who have taken the time to help to improve MapleStory by reporting these violators. However, many of you are still not satisfied. We agree 100%.

There are those violators that hide. Those that think if nobody sees them, they won?t get caught. They are wrong.

Silently we have been monitoring. We have been waiting, watching and recording accounts that have been detected as hacking. Not just by reports, but by our internal hacking detection systems. Today marks the day the first wave of these accounts has been terminated.

If you hack, you will be banned.

keeps legit players from getting banned just because some1 reported them just for the hell of it.

ANYONE GOT A PROBLEM WITH THAT?!

I cant tell how exactly but ill take a guess. Each packet they send must have a private signature that changes if the packet is edited. So if they see the signature of the packet isnt the same, they know for sure they player is hacking. thats only a guess, but i dont care how they do, the important is "will it really work and will the hacker community will grow smaller" :P

For around 10 posts or so, I have used my friend Joey as an example. As many of you know, he is a hacker. And guess what, he got banned LOL!

im so glad there cracking down on hackers but new hacks will come out undetected thats how these stupid hackers are>_>

wow wizet/nexon has had ALOT of post on how they will ban hackers....but i have not seen much inprovement.....tho i really want to say nexon is doing a better job

Its all true. They banned some of the top hackers.
They even banned Laid for selling his account.
Edit:*Looks at those level 100+ BeLOLcan hackers with their crapy armor.

They have improved, check their banlist. When the November 24th list comes out, you will see that there banning rate has doubled. Belive me.

Oh, and also I've noticed a lot more low level hackers and a lot less high level hackers, so that's pretty cool.

Uh huh... one day hackers will make a hack that can auto trade.. making people scared to show their items. Make a hack that auto levels you. Make a hack that buy all the items in the fm store for 1 mesos. :P if they can vac which is server sided.. anything is possible.. ^^
