hello, i was wondering what you guys would max first, final attack or rage? please state why you would do it that way. i am having a bit of trouble deciding which one is better to have first. anything i should know about?

p.p.s. mastery is maxed, as well as 2 booster (which i will bring to 6 first)

I, myself got 1 final attack then maxed rage. I mostly got the rage for PQing and it just made things more fun, plus I got the 1 final attack for the hell of it.

Rage bark is fun.

FA doesn't work with Strafe.

Thats BS, as Crusaders still use PS/SB. Even more, most Crusaders WANT it because FA charges the combo even faster up.

Ugh, more BS. At lv1 FA is weak and when it kicks in you will not knockback the monster and get damage. WHEN you take it, max it.

For the orginal starter, i took Rage first, as unlike FA it is a simple+stable damageboost and it's a partyskill.

don't add FA its useless it can't work on 3rd job skills you should add rage first.

Learn to read the ENTIRE topic, Gundel already owned that argument. Fighters and Pages use Power Strike and Slash Blast for most of their MS careers.

Rage, seeing as how in the early levels, such as lvl36-43 you MOST LIKELY will be training on something you will 1HKO. So why bother with FA. It will be a waste because there will be nothing to attack, and monsters from behind with just rush at you, thus you wasting more pots.

i might build me a rage mule so id use rage first, but yeah id say final atk... unless you are 1 hitting things.. cause rage is gonna be annoying when it goes out in less than a minute.

the reason i am asking is because one of my friends is getting bored of his fighter, and will be giving it to me. he is level 39 or 40 right now.. not sure which, and i just heard he has:

20 mastery, 6ish rage? 2 booster, and 1 FA...

my thoughts are, get booster up to 6, max rage, max fa. although i would prefer maxing FA before rage... would it still work if i stopped at 10 rage?? could that be an option? then save like 10 points, then put them FA all at once. this would aid in me getting FA sooner. what do you think?

Only 10 rage would be crappy, but if Jipang comes out you won't need rage since they have 10 and 20 attack potions.

You make a good point BoomTHunda, but seeing as how he is only lvl 38/39, PQ'ing will be the most fun he can have leveling. Everyone loves Rage in PQ, making him more popular. FA in PQ isn't really that good, except for alishar but that's only 1 stage of all 9. EH it really depends on you D4nG3r, PQ or training? FA is good for drakes, by the time you are lvl 43 you will have lvl 15+ FA, which I guess is alright, and you will train somewhat better at drakes.

Party or Solo?

Go Rage first if you like to party/PQ, FA if you mostly solo.

Eh, boring but it can't be anymore boring then training. It consumes less pots, and you gain more money if your lucky, you make more friends. It's always a good time to make friends ; ). I've met a friend when he was lvl 21 at a PQ, and I was lvl 28 or so. I'm now level 60....and he's lvl 115? Gahh..lol. So D4ng3r...what have you decided on anyways O.O

OK sorry it took so long to get back to you guys. anywho, i did decide to go....rage. (although i personally would have wanted FA...)
the reason i went rage is because there was already 5 points in it (only 1 in fa) when i recieved this fighter into my posession. i thought, if i put the points into FA like i wanted to, i would have 2 sucky skills for a couple levels longer than if i just gritted my teeth and got rage.

rage really isnt that bad, it takes my average damage high enough that i can 1 hit ko jr kitties 70-80% of the time instead of 40-50%. that, and its only level 8 right now. so i think rage is going to be a good thing for all around solid leveling.

this morning i was working on the lv 40 glove att scroll quests, and i got myself a +3 3 STR 62 att lionheart, and scrolled it to 4 str 64 att, 3 SLOTS LEFT! <3 <3

i went to the toy factory (with all the trojans) and broke the boxes and slash blasted like nuts. each box... EACH BOX gives me .4%!!! 0.4% PER BOX. thats nuts exp :P

so, if you can see, i am incredibly happy with this character, and i think my level 43 sin is going to take a back seat for a little while :P *rips wg off of sin and tosses to fighter*
