I am brand new to MS and would like to know what the best class would be to learn the game....I am going to be a somewhat casual player so I am hoping someone might suggest the best class for a noob like me.

I'd say warrior because they are the most basic, you'll want 35 str by level 10. After that, have DEX 2x your level until 30 when you should have 60 DEX, then just go 1 DEX per level until 50, which should make you have 80, and just pump STR after that.

Any class except Assassins, because you need a claw and stars, which could get costy, all the other classes are alright, there are archers that are similar to assassins but arrows are cheap, and you don't even use a bow til like lv 20 XD
Warrior Classes are Melee - No range
Thief Classes are Melee/Range(Bandit - Melee // Assassin - Range(I'm a Chief Bandit))
Mage Classes are Ranged
Archers are ranged(obviously)
Well have fun, but don't let me stop you from being an assassin, it's fun though, but it's confusing to know what stars are for, where to buy claws, etc.
Plus, it's very easy to lvl to lv 30, so if you want, just start with a warrior class, also the class with the highest damage, then just create another character later, it's not very hard, or just go to www.hidden-street.net and do some research.

i'd say mage since they lvl fast until about the 30-40 range

mp pots turn out to cost alot, 100 pots would last you 1-2 lvls, but cost 20k
30 X 20k= 600k
go with warrior, kuz bowman grind, and warriors dont need pots, everything else you need to buy things. ( i went with bowman but w.e)

actually mages end up not even needing mp pots when every other calss does >_>
curse you mp eater but yea warriors i guess dont need pots
cept health potions warriors get hit A LOT. sadly...
id say either mage or warrior theives and bowmen can get on the tricky side and EVERY class grinds XD sad fact. that is.

You guys have NO CLUE how many MP potions warriors use after level 20ish, you end up using NOTHING but Power Strike after that point, because your normal attack becomes worthless. Combine that with recovering 3 MP at a time, and a low max MP, and you're burning through MP pots like mad.

Mages are, without a doubt, the best way to make some quick cash, atleast up until level 30 or so. After you've got yourself some funding, make whatever you want, unless it happens to be an Assassin, theres far too many of those already.
[OFF TOPIC]:I didn't know there was a server check, and I just wanted to kill some time talking to people, I think its about nap time now though, class and work tomorrow.
[EVEN MORE OFF TOPIC~!]: After a couple weeks of sifting through the old forums archives, I have reached page 55...so many members gone. T_T

Wow Jubin lol. No pots tillvl 58? Hardcore. Ehh Lefos is right, if you want to train effciently, then yes, warriors need alot of pots.Slash blast for mob lvling, which is alot faster, consumes both Hp and Mp pots. I've made a couple warriors, all above level 50. All wasted alot of pots. I'd say go mages, I went assassin as my very first character and I turned out fine. It was challenging , but once you get the hang of the money part of this game, assassins kick *** as a first character. But heh, In every game I make alot of money, it's my special tatics you can say lol. Anyways, I'd suggest mages...if you reach lvl 30 without screwing up, you can become a cleric/FiirePosion Mage/ Ice, Lightning mage. All of them make moneyin their own way. Ice, well obviously freezing, trying to hunt for steelys in the arly 50's. Fire Mages, they can train on monsters higher then their own level, well because of their hardcore fire arrow. ANd Clerics, Heal, No Hp pots required, Pure MP pots.

man with slash blast, you go through hp and mp pots like a beast.
or if you wanna level slowly and save money, just go the old fashion way, the normal attack.

its rly up to how ur fighting style is. I dont suggest thiefs because they cause a lot of money to be rly strong. Mages r cheap, cool looking, close and long range, but weaker at the lvl 40-60's compared to others. Not many ppl r bowman. Theyre pretty much like sins cept not as agile. If u not TOO luvin the game rite now, i wouldnt make a bowman tho cuz its a nightmare to lvl them up. This site helped me a lot hidden-street.net. U mite wanna check it out
