no this isnt a question about c-games.net
its a warning..

Apparently C-games Downloads a Keylogger onto you computer once you visit the link....
if you dont know what C-games is, its also known as Maple2Day

a fraud private maplestory.
This is not to scare you, its for your safety.
you need to take actions immediately.
Scan your computer (Adaware will not pick it up)
i suggest SpyBot, AVG, Security Task Manager, and any other good Virus Scanners.

Ive been goin around on other forums and theyve all said that Maple2Day (c-games.net) will import a virus to your computer.

Besides, Maple2Day is a bit obvious to tell its unproffensial, 10k rates unbelievable and suspicious. A suggest everyone take action for your safety you may not just lose Maplestory stuff but you may lose EVERYTHING including online banking (if any of your parents do that, or maybe you do) Paypal accounts, Ebay Accounts, Email Accounts, And any other personal information that should not be known.

So please for your protection, just scan your comp. I scanned mine with Spybot and found 42 problems. i know i sound corny but its for you to stay out of being jepordized.

42 problems that could be from anything

also in most cases you can only get keyloggers from download/clicking a link on the site

or if they have added javascript code into the page to download it in the background

but even then most antivirus/spyware programs with auto protection will warn you that something harmful is trying to download

none the less people think any site like this has keyloggers which isn't the case most times

@olaph: of course 42 problems can be found from anything. i never said where they were from. its just that i recently did a scan about 2 days ago. cleared all the crap. then bam, 42 more. my little brother went onto c-games and then there we were back at point A.

and you never know how some people are. they take things just for what they say they are. and the link that gives the virus is the registration link. You sign up; log in, it asks to download some type of plugin. then keylogged. try to get on site again and it says youve already given points.

true but ive seen sites like that
that install some form of adware/malware that is the toolbar not a keylogger
and why? because they get money from certain ad companies who pay per toolbar installed

hence why its pretty much a scam for the people expecting to get things out of installing the toolbar.

theres a big difference between spyware and a keylogger in terms of what they do

if anything you got spyware not a keylogger

Scan the link with an online anti-virus, got nothing.

Stop spreading fake rumors, this is your kind of people that make the internet an unsafe place. Thanks to your fake rumors, fair and legit website gets bad reputation cause people like you doesnt know what they are talking about.

Wasn't it proven on basil or sw.net? that c-games keylogs every 1 in 100 people or something?
Anyways I don't see why you guys have to somewhat start a flame over something that should help OnRPG members, I mean people shouldn't be going on those sites anyways, now, more the reason.

I'm not denying what others said isn't true though, but still hes just trying to help! :-/

Posting something already considered a closed case doesnt help the community. In my opinion it only brings more shitty stuff. It was proven by many people that the rumor about c-games was only a hoax.

Its a proven fact the security hole in ie was fix several version ago. So the only way to get shit installed on your computer is to accept an ActiveX to run. So if you are careful when you browse around the internet you shouldnt get any shit installed on your computer.

The link was scanned, i personally went there and logged into my MS account without checking my system and i still have to get hack. So this conversation should be locked and the c-games case should never be mentionned again. Its only a rumor without any actual proof of "it installs shit on your computer without your agreement"

@mistaJ
it was proven by going to the site that you couldn't get hack you regestering and doing a little this n that you could have clicked to install something mabey you didn't but yeah gonig to the site clicking on thelink does nothing as its been proven as i havn't been keylogged as well when i clicked on it thinking id see fourth job wepons >_>
i agree with cyraan though the link and stuff was scanned to be unharmfull so if you accidently click a link and go to the site means your alright if you do more then well >_>
also would you mind sharing the type of file the 42 problems came up with on your computer because AVG picks up about 50-60 tracking cookies whenever i scan >_>
thanks for the warning but it might just be a bit too late. >_>

i know im too late but its just a heads up for mmm, maybe newer people?
besides i already cleared my computer of all that shit. I dont mind sharing the 42 problems, its just theyve been severly reduced to maybe 5? if youd like to see them i could show you..

@magicbujin & thundera: i dont use AVG to scan my computer that much; the only time i let it scan is its annual one week scan; and it usually ends up in few problems. i use Spybot to scan my system; and that one picks up the heavy shit.

i used to use spybot so scan my sistem
it picks up the same thing as ad-aware or anything else

MistaJ

AVG doesnt pick up what Spy bot does.

Spybot picks up adware and spyware (which ad-aware does also) the only difference is the functions of the two. I don't use ad-aware though. dunno why. oh well. i guess this topic should be closed since there is nothing really going on.
