So apparently, I guess that the whole adventure was pretty much a big *** waste of time (according to the main purpose), except the fact that when you press X towards the ending scene you get to see that Tidus reuiniting scene.
I mean, wtf is up with that? You dont just have someone come back to the real world for no particular reason, that just got insanely off topic.

Tidus, was kept in hibernation, he was never dead thus able to bring him back to the 'real world' maybe and conincidentially wakes up when Yuna comes back? Or his love was so strong with Yuna that he was brought back to life?

No matter, if you had completed FF-X, you will know that Tidus would be coming back as they would show the exact scene that Tidus wakes up from a bubble and tries to surface (only when he wakes up and tries to surface, doesn't even surface in FF-X)

This game has different endings you get the real ending if you manage to get 100%

and the 100% ending is no waste :)

Alright, I’m a huge fan of FF X and X-2 and comprehend it completely and can explain so here it is.

You see Tidus was nothing more than a dream.. A summon you could call him.. Dreamt up and created from the Fayth. (The Actual Aeons ‘The souls of the dead.’)

Tidus was created to end SIN once and for all. Although Tidus had a mind of his own and his own personality his fate was already decided. The birth of Tidus wasn’t real for Tidus wasn’t real although they did in fact have a child and Jecht was the father though Tidus was never really born it was just a dream of the fayth interfering with the real world.

During the end of Final Fantasy X you see Tidus passed out and he goes into a flash back to Zanarakand and is lead around by the soul of “Bahamut”. He’s told that he was nothing more than a dream of the fayth, the Aeons, Tidus was nothing more than a summon created from the never ending dream of the dead. They created him so they could end SIN and finally rest in the fareplane. In FF X you see after sin’s destruction Tidus start to fade on top of the Airship. He holds yuna and jumps off the ship and fades away. Thus the ‘The souls of the Aeons’ are going to the farplane.

Now in Final Fantasy X-2 Yuna finds an ORB that shows a picture of someone who looks exactly like Tidus; “Shuyin.” Thus she heads out in search of him doing missions along the way. She finds out that Shuyin was Lennne’s (A summoner) body guard from a 1000 years ago and they were murdered brutally. Shuyin wasn’t united with Lenne after they died so he came back full of rage to activate Vegnagun to destroy the world; “To cleanse it.”

Now during this entire game there are hidden things you have to do to unlock the True ending of the game like beating all the mission’s 100% and pressing X or Select during CG movies. Now at the end once you do the last part you press X and the Bahamut soul comes up to you and asks Yuna if she would like to walk with “HIM” again or leave things the way they are.

Now this is where you use your own imagination for there are two possibilities to what happened.

1.) The Fayth (The souls of the Aeons) summoned (Dreamt) Tidus back to life to reunite him with Yuna.

Or

2.) The Fayth actually brought Tidus to life and made him real (Which I doubt) to be with Yuna.


The point is Tidus isn’t real. He’s nothing more than a dream, a summon by the fayth.

In conclusion:

1.) Yuna tells the fayth she wants to see Tidus again.
2.) The fayth dream him back to life to be with Yuna.
3.) They live happily ever after.

-I would really like to see a Final Fantasy X-3 for there are so many loose ends that need to be explained.

Yuna didn't know Tidus was a dream of the Fayth. Everybody thought he was a real person, even him. I didn't finish FFX-2 but my friend told me the ending. ^.^
I got to the last boss on FFX, though, and once again, my friend told me the ending. >.>

Indeed, Tidus didn't know he was a dream at first then boom his whole life and everything he thought burns away. I found it strange how he took the fact that he was a dream that well... He didn't mention it to anyone and just went back to protecting Yuna.

Yeah, Yuna had no idea that Tidus was a dream. Not even in FF X-2.. Though..... I'm sure she guessed what happened to Tidus when she was doing the dance of the fayth to send the Aeons to the farplane.. At the same time she's doing that you see Tidus start to fade so... Who knows they never explain things in this game damn it. >_>

There's actually 3 different endings to FFX-2:

Happy Ending: The Fayth dream Tidus back and they live happily ever after...
Normal Ending: Basically, it's the trio talking on the Airship.
Sad Ending: Yuna, Rikku, and Payne fail, and Vegnagun and practically destroys Spira

otay, so now reading the article summary on Wikipedia, and to the perosn who posted his explanation of the entire thing in general, it seems to make more sense.

I watched the 100% ending on youtube.com, but since I only got the happy ending, I want to know if the 100% ending comes right after the happy ending.
Someone willing to explain?
