Who can tell me about Maple Story?

I am thinking about playing it. But I have no clue what it is.

Maple Story is a free 2D MMORPG. Many people play it, and it's a great way to make new friends. In the game of MS, you can choose between 4 classes. The warrior, theif, bowman, and magician. As you progress in a game, you can get jobs, which will make your character stronger. At level 8 or 10, you'll get your first job. At level 30, you have a chance to get your second job, and at level 70, you get your third job. Currently, there are only 3 jobs advancments out, but later on, there will be more.

When you begin the game of MS, it will ask you to choose your stats. If it's your first time playing, then read some of the guides we have here at onrpg. As you get your stats, you will be transported to a place called Maple Island. From there, you will learn the basics of this game. Make sure to talk to everyone, including the NPC, and you'll be fine. When you get to level 10 in most cases, it's time to get a job. Unless you want to be a magician, leave maple island at level 10. If you want to be a mage, leave at level 8. Once you reach Victoria Island, ask around to where you go. Mages go to Ellinia, warriors to perion, theives to kerning, and bowman to henesys. From there, read the guide, and find the person that will make you get your first job.

The warrior is a class that would be for you if you enjoy getting up and personal with a monster. You use a wide variety of skills to attack the monsters head on. They have high Health, low mana, but usually do a lot of damage at a time. The only problem is that warriors are a big on the slow side. At level 30, you have a choice of becoming a page, a fighter, or a spearman. Read a few more guides to understand what each of these do.

The bowman uses arrows, and bows. They have good looking gear, and do good damage. This class can shoot arrows, thus have the ability to attack monsters from far away. As you progress, you have a chance of choosing to become a ranger, who uses bows, or a crossbowman.

The thief is an very popular class. You have the ability to choose if you would like to attack a monster head on using daggers, or attack them from far away using shooting stars. Thieves are very fast, and stealthy, and is a class that many people enjoy using due to the fact that at a lower level, you can do a lot of damage if you have a lot of money. When you get to level 30, you have the choice of becoming a bandit (who specializes in daggers) or an assassin( who uses stars).

The magician is a class that usually uses magic to attack. Because of this, most mages don't have a lot of hp, but have a lot of mana. They use mana to attack monsters, and at higher levels have support skills for parties. You can choose to become a fire-poison mage, a ice-lightning mage, or a cleric.

There are many monsters in the game of maple story. If you would like to see all of them,go to www.mapletip.com (http://www.mapletip.com) to see a list. They are what some people call 'cute', and is one of the reasons that many people like playing the game.

There are many things you can do in the game. You have the ability to play mini-games, do quests, meet new friends, party, and have fun.

The problem with maplestory is the community. There are a lot of people in the game who are mean, not to mention a lot of hackers in the game. If you get really angry fast, or get annoyed at someone, I suggest not playing the game because there is a lot of hostality in the game. However, if you can deal with it, I do suggest you give the game a try. Make some friends here, and I hope you can enjoy playing the game!

Oh, and don't get frustrated if you don't level fast; maplestory is built so it takes a long time to level. I just typed this up in a hurry, so if you would like more info about the game, check the website, or ask. I suggest that you go into the guides section to read up some facts.

Maplestory is a game....
It's a game people play.....
You will most likely quit before you get your job...
Beacuse most people get bored fast.....
But then they come back.....
Maplestory isn't fun......
But addicting....
Maplestory has great graphics.....

You're in denial. Oh, and hyphnx, do read the section about maplestory in Wikipedia. It give much more info then I do. Much more.

endless did you write that whole thing yourself? if so, it was a very thorough post. if not, well it was still good. :)
