It should be posted in the Free MMO section, not so much General. Anyone who've played Ryzom and liked it would pay for it to go f2p.

If you have PCGamer, you have to have heard of this game. SImply put, before the game came out, they had a frantic ad campaign detailing the specs.
Simply put:
-active herd AI -- animals with herd instincts will move with the rest of the ai.
-active seasons -- based on the server for your country, you will experience the same season in game as real life.
-changeing worlds -- the game is designed to have its world dynamically change, something that existed last year could be completly different next year.
-and most importantly, the real game has a preset armagedon clock. 7 years after its start, it will experience armagedon, the destruction of everyone and everything.
edit:
After fully reading the site I found this:
Q: When Ryzom has been purchased by the community, will I still have to pay to play Ryzom?
A: Yes, for the official project Ryzom server, you will still have to pay, since servers and internet connections to run a large game like Ryzom is quite expensive. Even though we still have to charge to play on the official servers, the goal of this project isn't to make money, but rather to cover the costs of the operation and keep Ryzom alive for and by the players (for more information refer to our budget). We estimate that the monthly fee will be approximately 10 €. Note that player run servers would likely be free to play since their playerbase would likely be much smaller.
Thus, it won't be so free after all, just a cheaper fee.
hmm i will look into it, mebe its kool. this is like the coolest thing someone could do. period. wonder how expensive the Wow wource code is.

Note to all who have yet to try Ryzome:
Ryzome, a couple months ago, changed its trial to allow people to experience newbie island free for an unlimited number of time, with no level cap.
Many players end up staying on the island for months leveling their character before they leave the island and start paying. Of coarse, the island features very low weapons, and only the primitive ones too; thus, as you gain higher levels, the beasts will become more tedius to deal with.
