whats better archer or mage i really need to know!!!

Depends. Since both are rangers, they rely on cells alot. Archer is better in solo while mage is better at team or golem. mages need alot of back ups

on the other hand, if your REALLY good, you can solo archers as a mage

im not saying im good but I was able to solo them, mages doesn't HAVE to use fireball only

i like mages but my friend likes archer better, thing is i was trying every character in game, im pro at all characters cuz of that but..
i still dont know whos the ultimate character.

that mages can pwn bs easily because of bs huge delay archers are not that good against mages because their very small.
so lets think archer is faster then mage, but bigger delay, they have pretty much of the same armor and hp like mage, and i dont like much archer chaos, you can move away from any of archers attacks pretty easily.
and i hate to backup im usually the killer when im mage:)

i like archer better, cuz if people are close to you and they miss a grab/ or get delayed, archers can just grab them. but if you use mage, you can't if you're using a bomb.

Agreed. I killed many archer using mages. Their quite easy to freeze.. heh

sure ninja is good because of her speed. but when it comes to laggers(again), ninjas are quite useless. so i stopped using my ninja and i started using mage.

Well it depends what your style is.
Archer- Well this is the WORST 1 v.s. 1 person ever. But they're are really good in groups and if you're sneaky, you have a high chance of getting the golden golem without suffering any damage.

Mage- They're really good with their ICESPIKES and FIREBALLS and plus the fact that they can heal. They're alright 1 v.s. 1, but they usually fall victim to swordsman

I have a 51 archer and i can own highly skilled mages (withoguht archer bug) i win 9 out of 10 battle with mages... But then again i got a 34 mage and i win 9 out of 10 battle with archers it may just be that im good but i like the archer better Note: if you lag don't use archer!

i use archer but they are both capable of beating eachother, i think they are equaly good...exept in golems go for mage if u want to play alot of golems XD

I say mage bekuz once u get use to it its really useful/inplus when u grip the front of someone they freeze and probably when there wekend u can kill them=)=)=)

I have to disagree on that point. I have a BS, and depending on the mage, I can defeat them pretty easily; if not easily, I can still defeat them, with or without difficulty ^^.

And also, archers are a good match against mages too. Because they usually hit the archers with their staff, you can wait until after they finish their attack or jump away and quickly shoot them during their delay after their attack.

Anyways, that was just my opinion.

Regarding the topic, I`ll quote from a post that I had just made:

It all depends on taste. I have played all characters to at least lvl 6.

Warriors: They actually are probably the "best" character. They don`t have advantages yet disadvantages. There specials are strong, and so are their basic attacks. They move pretty quickly, and they are pretty dependable.

As you can tell, the other classes have some "main point", which causes disadvantages.

Archer: more range than melee. Causing vulnerability to up close battles.

Ninjas: weak basic attacks and range weapons suck. Plus, their basic attacks are so fast, that if you know that the ninja is a stun grabber, you can block the first attack and grip her/him right after.

Blacksmiths: They`re slow and easy to grab. They have a lot of delay.

Mage: They`re also slow and have delay right after placing Ice. They also have delay when creating a heal; it takes a while to get the "Fire balls" in place too and when changing weapons, it takes forever.

So, unless you can defeat the disadvantages and use them to your advantage, I`d probably stick with warrior for now.

I say it depends on a map since archers and mage can both own in a very narrow area mage can ice stack easier and archer has less shooting to do altho in a wider area archer would most likely have a greater advantage with faster range attack even tho they would have to sacrfise the low shooting space which can be more accurate and since mages are small they have to aim a little lower.

Mages has a better advantage is areas when ice stacks can be easily used but in a straight narrow area they have a greater advantage.

in chaos mode both chaos would most likely wipe each other out with range tho mage will stand a better chance froma distance.

They both suck, but if i pick 1 it is mage. They r versitile for both long and short range atks, and if used carefully, can put up some nasty surprises. The main problem is if u miss a grip u may be safe, but youve got a strong possiblity to be gripped

Don`t state that without giving evidence first. It`s your opinion and no one here has to agree with it. Keep unnecessary comments to yourself.

You may name them a character that may suck, probably because you`re not as classy as others who are a bit more professional at the classes then you are. So once again, keep statements that don`t need to be said, to yourself.

Anyways, personally, if you like an archer and a mage a lot, create both of them on one account. Once you start playing a game and decide it`s better to play as an archer in one game and you`re playing as a mage, what I do is, I leave the room and grab my archer and quickly go back into the same room to "own" the people. Vice versa for a mage.

yeah i hate archer bugs, so annoying one time i got golden sword and i got 3/4 of my hp basically shaved off then a bs finished me off lol.

It may be opinion, but u dont have 2 complain about it. Archers r great, but they require almost no skill, its basically point,click, and shoot. Also i refrain my comment about mages, they dont suck, just hard to use, mainly because they r the first target of almost any list. But still, it sucks when u think about, because youve worked real hard for your charcter, learned everything and mastered them, but then u have archers who just sit there just launching their a.rrows

Have you tried using an archer? It`s not as easy as you think. Especially when the characters are going in a way that is unreadable to you.

Before you know it, Bam, you`re grabbed. You have to aim correctly, shoot ahead of time, know where they are going.

Every job requires skill. You have to block at the right time and then shoot right after. Aim carefully; etc.

I don't like golem I do TDM and as far as im concerned once you learn to lead with a ranger you can destroy just about anyone who isn't blocking your arrows including running mages etc.

blacksmiths are slow you say ? heh , who said id do somthing before mage ? good blacksmiths strike only when the mage is too impatient to attack first so he cant block at that moment...basicly any mage is already dead if he uses ice spikes and doesnt get a blacksmith fall with it...2 grabbs and mage goes to see his grand-grand-grand father cuzof the nice delay after spikes...and dont say mages have lower delay then BSes lol if you dont know how to be a good bs

i think any class can be good if you know how to use it , there is no uberclass (there is no real pro in the world who could say that in such a game could be an uber class) ,so it only depends on whos skills of the two opponents are the best

you can be the better then any other class but only if you got skill! lol

in my opion....i say archer is better cause...well on all my accounts i have at least one archer.Why?Cause thats where i get the mesos...i mean gold...

lead them off....remember Lead them off...predict where they are going
and if a mage comes to spike joo then just lead them into it jump as he uses the spikeing ice >_>...

Statement relating to the topic of the thread (!) :

I like archers better, they can out run mages and just keep turning around and shooting and can kill mages with like 8 arrows. This is my opinion:

Archers: Strong Character and Ranged Fighter
Magicians: Cool Character and Backup Character

Archers should hang around mid - end field, when fighting an opponent any closer and archer is useless unless using sword (unreccomended) or grip.

Mages should hang around front field using ice protusion ( Forward x 2,Left Click) or end field using fireball (switch to mace,Right Click and lock on to enemy, let go of right click). If needed go midfield and use healing ball to heal the ally. Why midfield? So that enemy can't destroy em

IMO overall Blacksmith is the best all around, keep using single hits to avoid delay (Single Left Click) and Jump Attacks (Jump, Left Click), and if you've got the character spinning around in confusion, right click hold for two seconds, let go.

Swordsman is a highly reccomended first character, good for getting used to Rakion. Keep using Forward x 2, Right Click, Lol thats what i did and i kept owning people with it.

Ninja is a highly unreccomended character. It is weak, and its only use is for grip, which can be deadly, but due to the vast majority of lag in the servers of Rakion, it can be quite deadly for you to try, because almost 75% of the time it will be a missed grip leaving you open for special strikes or normal strikes, and even worse, a grip...

Swordman: For newbies to get used to Rakion

Blacksmith: For people who like melee after getting used to rakion, or if you love ranged so much you never miss...(blacksmith's throwing axes are powerful but somewhat inaccurate). Another option is if you like grip Blacksmith can be good because the grip is strong ( cos of blacksmith's strong melee nature) and you can approach the enemy to grip without getting hurt much (walking guard).

Mage: If you like helping one another in battle.

Archer: If you love ranged.

I suggested u pick archer cuz u culd range everyone and u range golem everytime u range golemz and sum pl trying to attack u just jump somewhere and shoot. Well mage.. umm:confused: I think u do the mage trick on the Gravity next to ur enemy's Master golem and range fireballs or the blue/red Balls 2 shoot if ur stupid i suggested u use regular attack if ur a little pro a little bit stupid but can talk and talk shit i think u ice the golem THats all i can say:( c ya
