wow finally, they decided to add a F2P update... sounds cool.


Finally, we have a brand new FREE TO PLAY release this month. After years of giving security advice to players via our website and our customer relation teams, we have decided to build it into the game via a rather funky training area. Players are invited to hack and slash their way through 4 floors of beasts, all the while answering questions to some pushy doors. Various treasures wait on the different floors, with the top floor giving free players a new piece of armour... and it looks pretty good too! Hopefully you’ll learn a few tips on how to keep your account secure on the way too.

FINALLY,after 2 years of being a member and becoming free 3 days ago :D , its not out yet it's scheduled for july.:D

Well, well, well. I gotta give it to Jagex. They deserve commending for this. Keeping the f2p world happy is very important for getting more members. Heck I might go back to runescape just to try out the new update.

Jagex should continue adding more Members quests, armour etc. Make the F2P community miserable and tease them about how they should be paying money to Jagex. Untill they finaly get pissed off about how much better member Runescape is compared to F2P Runescape. I'm not a member but this is what Jagex is doing. They added this to entertain the F2P people for another half year so that they will stop sending them emails bitching about the lack of F2P Stuff. Jagex should make more floors after the 4th floor. You can go to the 4th floor and see how awesome it is, but make the door members only to enter. Thats my opinion :D

I think that improvements made to f2p should be proportional to how much money f2p brings to Jagex. The can poll to see how many members were convinced by f2p to become members. There is also advertising and other income coming from f2p stuff.

So, I think that there should be an annual f2p upgrade and a monthly members update.

If Jagex ignores f2p, what will happen is that people will simple quit; which is what happened with me. :D

Maybe 2 major updates; but the monthly updates and quests have not stopped....

I bet jagex gets hate mail all the time about them not putting enough stuff in the f2p servers. even though their email is secured usually someone in jagex gets fired and gives it out worldwide. that second half is just opinion
