What does every1 think of this? It looks just like Oblivion in a way. I havent played Neverwinter Nights before so i dont know what the gameplay is like. Is it like D&D?

Wow a very old nwn player will make an answer for you waaaaaa XD lol

Yeah it's like D&D and it's the most immersive mmo for a D&D style.
I'm so impatient to go buy th nwn 2 ^^ And i'm not a heroic fantasy fan i prefer the futurist :P

Gameplay is a version of D&D. 2.5 I think. Not sure. The one with the feats.

I have not seen any screenshots. Anyone care to provide some links with screenshots of NWN2 in 'em?

Neverwinter nights 2 will also feature a sort of NPC party system. You eventually gain part members, and are able to issue commands for them. (Just like KotOR). It will also have an "influence" system, which enables to "sway" your party members moral alignment (Just like KotOR II).

The gameplay will be like D&D, except the fighting actually looks real time. I'm looking forward to this, as it reminds me very much of KotOR.

having played the first game for a long time (about half a year) i am really excited about this game. I hope they have included a great scenario builder like in the last game, which will encourage all the creators to make really fun maps again.

I have played NWN and it is a great game, but NWN2 looks amazing.

I believe that Neverwinter Nights 2 will be a HUGE success if they make it better than the first. The first was fun, but I didn't enjoy the combat system. I heard that they're improving it for the second iteration so I'm a bit excited for this game.

Hmmm... no one knows how the gameplay is because it isn't out yet. I know alot of people have high hopes for this game (myself included), so I hope it'll be even better than the first.

The game will be awsome, in the same cattegory as Oblivion if not higher. NWN1 used the D&D 3.0 rules while NWN 2 will use the 3.5 rulesets. The game is being created by the guys that gave us KoToR 2 and they, to the delight of many, made the Module Builder way better. The game looks awsome and is awsome.

Its basicly a single player game with a neat(lets hope it is)offline story. Well thats not the thing that makes NWN1&2 stand out, its the fact that with the Builder you can created Persistent Worlds(PW) or Gameworlds, which are like player made MMORPGs using the game.

Players can make anything for the game, just like in Oblivion. But this time Obsidian worked more on the multiplayer aspect of the game so it could rock us for more years than NWN1 ever did(like 4 years its been on and on).

This game may be about fantasy but with the proper mods in can become a Sci-fi game too. You would just need to created guns, and spaceship and lots of sci-fi content for it.

I still play Neverwinter Nights. Looking forward to Neverwinter Nights 2.

If the gameplay is anything reminiscient of NWN1, then it will be round based. As in it all looks real time but you only get a certain amount of attacks/actions per every 4-6ish seconds. By DnD rules (Making every 6 seconds a DnD round) thats normally only one attack/spell/item. However as you grow in power you get extra attacks per round and using Quicken Spell you can get off two per round etc etc.

I downloaded these two screenshots to show someone else, so I'll chuck em up here.
They don't show much, you can find them and more at the official site (linked somewhere above) or I can post some more if wanted.

I do have the Neverwinter Nights: Diamond Edition and it kick ass, even the modules online kick ass as well. However, I hope they add a new crafting system in the game that is much more fun then the boring self it is.

you know, 'eveyone will stop playing NWN if NWN 2 comes out', i can assure you, that will not happen, have you considdered the game system requirements? they are incredibly heavy, not everyone posseses a machine that can handle NWN2, even though they are only suggested system requirements from E3, those most likely won't differ THAT much from the final requirements.

'Yes, some comments were made at E3 regarding the system specs for the game. The previous comments were not necessarily incorrect as much as they were incomplete. Now, before we give you the current set of specs and supported cards, please bear in mind this may change somewhat prior to launch. But as of today here are the current system specs and supported video cards: Recommended: - 3 GHz Intel Pentium 4 or equivalent processor - 1GB System Ram - ATI Radeon X800 series, NVIDIA GeForce 6800 series or higher video card Minimum System Requirements: - Windows XP - 512MB System RAM - 2 GHz Intel Pentium 4 or equivalent processor - 128MB Direct3D compatible video card with DirectX 9.0c compatible driver - CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive - 4.6GB free hard disk space - DirectX 9.0c (included) - DirectX 8.1 compatible sound card - Microsoft .NET 2.0 Framework for toolset (included) - Broadband connection for multiplayer online play - Keyboard, Mouse Supported Video Cards: - ATI Radeon X1900 series - ATI Radeon X1800 series - ATI Radeon X1600 series - ATI Radeon X1300 series - ATI Radeon X850 series - ATI Radeon X800 series - ATI Radeon X700 series - ATI Radeon X600 series - ATI Radeon X300 series - ATI Radeon 9800 series - ATI Radeon 9600 series - ATI Radeon 9500 series - NVIDIA GeForce 7900 series - NVIDIA GeForce 7800 series - NVIDIA GeForce 7600 series - NVIDIA GeForce 7300 series - NVIDIA GeForce 6800 series - NVIDIA GeForce 6600 series - NVIDIA GeForce 6500 series - NVIDIA GeForce 6200 series - NVIDIA GeForce 6100 series - NVIDIA GeForce FX 5900 series - NVIDIA GeForce FX 5700 series - NVIDIA GeForce FX 5600 series - NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500 series'

I personnaly believe that quite a few people do match these systems though, as they begin to become the standard for pc gaming these days, but again, not everyone does.
About NWN2 itself, i have and have played every Bioware game in the series of KoToR, IWD, BG and NWN, and everything i could nothing less than impressive, i think NWN2 will be a comet in the D&D market, it would be an incredible shame that NWN2 would end up like D&D online, the entire idea of AD&D thrown away for a bit of fancy graphical components, but i believe Bioware knows better.
Who agrees with me, Bioware is a great developper :). They will release Jade Empire for pc soon as well, another succes on the way.

neverwinter nights games arent like most because there isnt 1 dedicated server. instead each player can host their own module and the lag/amount of players just depends on their connection. there are many categories that the modules go into like action, roleplaying, social (hi2u ^^), arena , etc. also whats cool is it comes packed with its own coding system and its completely customizable. for example you can remake the whole game world.. make the races, faces, all that body shapes, buildings, all you need to do is know how to make 3D models and learn the NWN easy to learn coding language. BTW NEO you must have never played NWN if you dont know that how the game starts out doesnt mean shit.you could start out with NWN then turn it into world of warcraft if you had the skillz.

he speaks the truth. NWN is perfectly moddable, meaning you can change sowhat Everything. There is this very popular mod for NWN which is a COMPLETE reconstruction of Diablo 1 and Hellfire, including ALL unique items of diablo 1, with addition of some Diablo 2 items. and the models even look like the images in the actual diablo game
