I don't want a game where all you do is sell and buy, but a game that includes the aspects of being a merchant. Text based is fine, but some pictures and stuff might be nice.

The game I am looking for might be impossible to find, and it might never be made. But I want a game where you can be whatever you want(Not literally). Like you can fish for a living or cook or be a merchant. Get what i'm saying?

Whatever you do, don't suggest Runescape! I quit my membership some time ago because the game had nothing else to offer.

So if anyone could throw some links at me and stuff, I would appreciate it.

My game, Tradewind Cove (http://wakewalking.com/tc) is pretty simple right now, and though you're looking for something other than just buying and selling and it's not much more than that yet, there's a skill system that is yet to be implemented and equipment affects abilities ingame. Try it out and let me know what you think.

Well, if you would have read the first post, you would have seen that I said not to suggest Runescape. I'm not trying to be *****y or anything, but people don't read, do they? I quit Runescape after almost 2 years and I canceled my membership because it got so boring.

Tradewind Cove... I've seen your topic and screens for your game, but I don't know if I want to try it yet. I know it has been around for more than a few months, but merchanting is still kind of hard with a ton of people around. And I don't know if your game is popular enough to actually have fun being a merchant.

I can always just keep getting on Gaia Online. I have been involved with that for a while, but just recently started to take interest in merchanting items. That is why I came here. To see if there was a game about it instead of using Gaia (Which is a MySpace/Forum type thing with avatars and money and items and junk).

give my game a try, it has merchant aspect but its more about adventuring, and solving quests. 2D adventure style

Yeah, you just buy and sell.. Its a great game.. but it gets boring after awhile. :(
