Since i started maple a few days ago i've had connection problems, for the most part i've been alright but every so often the enemies would stop moving, Both me and them would stop taking damage and a i get completely disconnected a few seconds later. It usually happened when i changed maps or channels.
However as of today i can't seem to play for more then 5 mins max before it kicks in.
The particualry bizarre thing about this is i can still see other players moving around on the map.

As so far i've tried re-installing, Running registry cleaners, AVG, Various spyware detectors and so on.

But seeing as i've never had problems with any other mmorpg's (L2, WOW, COH, EQ, E.V.E) i can't help but think somethings wrong with maple

If anyone's experianced this problem or has any clue whatsoever how to fix it i would greatly appreciate knowing as this is beggining to become very frustrating.

From time to time Maple will just randomly shut down for me. Doesn't go back to the log in screen or anything, just completely closes. If I'm lucky, it's just an isolated incident, and I can go back to playing MS with no problems. But what usually happens is I log back on, and then 30 seconds later, it shuts down again. And it keeps happening four or five or even more times till I just give up and do something else. What I've found though, is that this happens most often when I've been running my laptop for a while, and it heats up. So all I do is put it on standby, and leave it alone for and hour or so.

But your situation seems different. I think that has happened to me before, and all I can say is just put up with it, and it should eventually fix itself.

Gjedda, that vid is for the most part exactly what happens to me and it happens a hell of a lot unfortunately and it's completely baffling because all other online applications run perfectly even when i can't connect properly to maple.

Since you also have this problem can i ask who your ISP is? and If your network card is integrated with your motherboard?

I used to have that problem. Found out cuz our computer wasn't getting enough air circulation because of this cardboard thing at the back of the shelf (so now we punched it out) so it eventually burnt the motherboard and we had to get a new one. Now this comp has 6 fans and is always cool :D

But now I have the d/cing problem. My modem keeps restarting and that sucks since I can only play on weekends and that's when everyone is on too. So much clicking involved and then I just get disconnected (Ms freezes so I alt+tab and then Ctrl+Alt+Del, select it and close it.

Well after switching over to a nearby laptop (not mine sadly) i've been playing for hours without any problems.
Gonna have to dig around for an old network card tommorow and see how things run when i connect with that on my PC.
