Yeah that, or shove it in the microwave for 10 minutes.
You overheart your graphics card if you play a top notch game for quite a long time, such as... the new 'FarCry' coming out. The more you push your GPX card to the limit of use, theres your chance of overheating.

I'd laugh if in the process of trying to overheat your graphics card you overheat your harddrive or something more important...

yeah... I'd tell you you what to do if it wasn't for this reason... But suffice to say, you will not end up successfully overheating your card just by playing an intense video game. That would take a long time...

you have to overclock it, then run resource eating games :D

I was messing with some code to do this sort of thing ( http://www.rootshell.be/~c64/ ) if I come up with something i'll let you know :D
This made me rofl...Well,yeah.I have a better idea...
Uninstall you're drivers. You're parents will think it's broken, while it's NOT!It'll just look like it is,because you're screen will be weird and you won't be able to play games.
But,if it doesn't work download and install these drivers:
http://www.ngohq.com/
It'll have an overclocking option,on the tray.Overclock it to the max, watch the temperature so you don't overheat you're CPU chip!Make sure you have isolating silver cream thingy...I don't know,it's a silver paste you put to cool it down.
Speaking of which,i might need to change mine in a month or so.

If his video card is over 4 years old, his other hardware probably sucks too. XD

I think we all missed the completely ****ing obvious here, put a blowtorch to it.
Seriously, just whack on your most graphics intensive game, overclock the card, and then direct a heatsource toward it (lighter, blowtorch, hairdryer).
Or even just take it out and burn parts of it with a lighter, it's only gotta look like it overheated right?
