Well ive played mmorpgs for awhile and ive looked at the free ones and most of them are going to be grindfests anyway you slice it.... So I have decided to accept that fact and ask it a different way. Are there any free mmorpgs out there that make the grinding trip fun? Like they have extremely well done dungeons or something of that nature that make it so leveling slowly doesn't matter because your just having fun? Any games like that I would play and the grind could take 3 years as long as the game is FUN and not like maplestory where you basically only kill snails and later on zombies.

I'd prefer to have WASD movement but thats asking for a lot considering most games are going to be point-click.

play ryl... i didnt find the grind too bad especially not as a mage i was gettin like 78k xp/about 160k per kill at the huge dogs and also its pretty fun wasd..

also on a side note Guild Wars is buy once no monthly fees and lvl cap is at 20 and basically no grind scince the fastest way to lvl is thru quests and missions..so you really wont notice grind in Gw

agreed guild wars is a great buy for non grindfest gamers, ill be playing it all day when i o and get my new comp :D
FlyFF can be really good with the dungon point of view with party members, it also has flying at lv 20!! how cool is that! lol. FlyFF is point and click*

Hmm you must be talking about RYL 1? RYL 2 has a level grind thats not too bad but then its a disgusting grind for gear so you can pvp or you get to spend a lot of money to do that. If I heard correctly RYL 1 is not based on uber gear so maybe I would go to that. Although I also heard RYL 1 was a lot more grindy then the 2nd one but maybe thats not true eh...

Mabinogi(coming in englis this year),and granado esapada,aren't grind games to me,because it's just fun to kill monsters(specially in mabi),if you want to play right now you can play teh foreign versions.Or there's always Darkeden,you level up very fast.

You can WASD in FlyFF to, but IMO, it's very grindy after 30..

Try World of Warcraft. You dont have to grind so much. You can level up to max lvl just of doing quests. But it costs alot of money -.-

You can try Guild Wars. That's a game there you just lvl up to lvl 20 (?) You make that of doing missions, not to kill hunder of monsters.

oh I did WoW for awhile and guildwars hurt me =/=. Rappelz was entertaining kinda but I don't think ill keep playing that one....
