Once there, click on the stone and say something in english like: "Hello, I would like to join your guild."

Remember to always go with the English guild. The other guilds will run away with your money.~

MAKE A CHARACTER HOW-TO

To create a character, sign in on Mabinogi (make sure to turn off your firewalls before signing in) and click the "create" button. If you cannot make a character, please note that hairstyles, facial expressions and hair colors with Stars next to them are GASH premium only.REMEMBER to pick the 貝婷伺服器 server!! Pick a server on the TOP of the character creation screen! If you do not pick this server you WILL NOT be able to play with the english community!

After you create your character you'll begin a tutorial. After you zone into the forest, go all the way forward onto your left for the newb dungeon to learn your skills, watch it CAREFULY to figure out whats going on. And always have your skill bar open!

In the event you do not start here, your most likely in Iria.

Iria is the exploring continent. It has dungeons but they are difficult for beginners. To go to Urla, press the windows key or the button of the bottom left corner and press continent change.

Now to do the tutorial for iria, look around for a girl and an orb on a table. Talk to the orb until a bird drops something on you. That's a quest. Now look on your minimap (if it isn't there press M) there should be 2 pink squares. Go to the 1 that isn't past the gate. Now you should be at a wall. Punch it then go back to the girl.
After that I think you go to the orb again and have a bird drop something on you or after you talk to the girl the bird drops something. (I've forgotten) Just keep following the pink square.
Look in your inventory once and a while, she might have given you an item required for the quest. If it's drawing paper, go to the pink square, you should be at a statue. Go near it, go to your inventory, right click the drawing paper and press use. Once the bubble stops moving (there should be 1 over your head) click on the statue.
If you get L Rods, equip them, now walk around until you hear beeps. This might take you a while. When you do hear beebs, it's basically hot and cold. When you hear 4 beeps, right click the L Rods and press use. Then when the bubble stops moving, click on the area where you think the object is. (you're looking for an object btw) If nothing happens, try again.

Once you finished the L Rods quest, I think you finished the tutorial. Go through the gates. Now, do all the newbie quests. Instructions are on this site. http://www.kuroshin.net/serea/ Go to quests then Iria. Once finished them all, I advise you continent change.

After you finish the Iria quest, to get to Tir Chonall, the area where the English guild stone is located, open your menu and go all the way up till you see "Continent Change". Once there, click it and it should take you to Tir Chonall!

*REMEMBER! Always pick CHANNEL 10 on the character log-in screen!*

Q: Is this game in english?

A: Most of it is, but when it boils down to quests and such, it's all in Taiwanese at that point.

Q: There are two guilds, ||Orz and English. Which one should I join?

A: This really depends on what you like. If you want a more, newbie friendly atmosphere, pick English. If you want a more straightforward guild, go with ||Orz.

Q: Is this game a typical Click and Kill grindfest? What will I get out of it thats differant than all the other games I've played?

A: Well, Mabinogi is differant because you don't pick a certain class. All you have is skills, and what skills you decide to choose is your class. You could be a Magician/Knight, or a Bard/Priest. The possibilites are endless!

Q: Can I wear anything I want?

A: You can wear anything you want yes. But you can't cross-dress o_o;.

Q: When is the International release supposed to happen?

A: They didn't make a clear statement, but mostlikely by the end of this year.

Surprisingly, most of it is. To get into all the details like forming parties, guilds and doing quests, your going to have to ask one of the Taiwanese players on the English guild.

No no no, thats the Korean version. The Taiwanese version allows you to play 24/7 with no wipes.

Can someone explain the leveling system... i seem to remember ages, sizes, and stuff like that...

Ok basicly instead of Jobs, you have skills. Each skill breaks down into differant melee or life skills. Leveling is like any other MMO, you kill monsters and get EXP, but the more you use a certain melee skill the more you level it. Once you level you use your AP and level up differant skills. Each age has differant stats. But the younger you are the more AP you have.

There are advanced character selections (faces, hair styles... Stuff like that), you have to pay for those, ones without stars next to them are free.

Ok, Imma make a step by step tutorial for the "Tutorial From The Seventh Circle of Hell" :3

STEP ONE: Once you get into the forest, go forward until you see a little stone platform, stand on it and teleport to the dungeon, once there the "Helmet Boy" will tell you what to do. Basicly you just open up your skill bar and eye which skills he's telling you to use with the pictures of the buttons.

STEP TWO: Once your done with the dungeon, head ALL THE WAY back to from the forest until you see the Helmet Boy, once you see him click on him and just press the buttons until he teleports you to the Newbie Town.

Hopefully that helps. I'll be posting it on the front page soon.

Redownload? If that doesn't work, you probably need to just let your comp rest for awhile.

Go to the table with the orb. You're doing the exploration tutorial. A bird should come and drop a scroll on you, that's a quest. Close with the X. Go to where the pink quest square is. (Not the 1 behind the gate) Also, there will be a point in the tutorial where you get these 2 sticks called the L Rod. Equip them, walk around near the girl and the orb until you hear 4 big beeps. When you do, go to inventory and right click the L Rod and press use. A box will appear, punch it =3

Yes but English and the other one are two differant guilds. They're seperate in their views and English is more open to newbies.

True, but the other guild isn't too newbie unfriendly, they mainly want mature players. Sasarai gave me 10k, I have to pay him back of course. I'm using that money to learn icebolt and firebolt.

There are no classes, it's free style just like runescape but this game is millions times better then runescape. The korean version has more stuff and races though. I want a pet so bad. A tip would be concentrate on melee/ranged before you go magic. I'm magic/melee. Try to be a windmiller if you want. (A guy that lvls windmill skill very high which is a melee area attack that makes you break dance =3)

The Korean version of the game has the Paladin and Dark Knight class... Or something of similar names..

Anyway, I got the game playing... But it seems that NEXON doesn't care about this server as there is a pretty thick ammount of server lag. The fact that I'm not anywhere near Taiwan doesn't help either... I can see why they wouldn't care though, it's not a P2P server.

But in short, there's no point really getting far in this server 'cause it's got lag.. So you probably won't be able to kill much more than a wolf.... And, it's not in english.. So quests are hard to understand. I've played on the kMabinogi to level 32, so it's not my connection. This server just isn't well kept :(

Sorry guys D: I'm waiting on International (if they even decide to release it.... -.-;;)

The Korean version of the game has the Paladin and Dark Knight class... Or something of similar names..

Anyway, I got the game playing... But it seems that NEXON doesn't care about this server as there is a pretty thick ammount of server lag. The fact that I'm not anywhere near Taiwan doesn't help either... I can see why they wouldn't care though, it's not a P2P server.

But in short, there's no point really getting far in this server 'cause it's got lag.. So you probably won't be able to kill much more than a wolf.... And, it's not in english.. So quests are hard to understand. I've played on the kMabinogi to level 32, so it's not my connection. This server just isn't well kept :(

The server is in maintenance, wait another 20mins.
Maintenance goes on every sunday and wednesday night, normally for 2 hours.

I assume Utomori doesnt know this, but Nexon does not manage TW Mabinogi, its Gamania HK/TW that does. And there is no such thing as a P2P server in Mabinogi, since anyone can play without paying on the server in any version of the game. Paying for service(or VIP) gives you much more than just 24hr play, most people playing on TW pay for service(including me).

I'll be paying for service sooner or later. Love this game that much and the NA version will have not many updates. If it is on the same version as the taiwanese or better then i will play the NA version and pay for it.

I have to wait for upgradeable wands because then magic will be much easier since you can cast multiple charges at once. I'm a mage if you didn't know. I can't wait for pet scripting too. The english version wouldn't have all these for a year or 2 after it's release.

Hmm I know this was asked already but I'm so confused. The tutorial quest is confusing. I don't know what to do! D:< I appeared with some Girl and a Table with an Orb on it. So far all I've done is punch a wall that causes a "Cinematic" to show. That's what I've been doing for half an hour lol. Please help! D:

OK, for the Iria tutorial, go to the table, talk to the orb, you should have a bird drop a scroll onto you, that is a quest, now look on your minimap, go to a pink square (not the 1 past the gates). Also, when you get to the part where you get the L rods, equip them and walk around until you hear beeps, walk around that area until you hear 4 beeps then right click the L rods in the inventory and press use then click an area near you, if nothing happens try again.

Now for the levels, there is no max level, you can buy rebirth cards (character cards) with real cash or get someone to sell 1 to you for 200k+.

yeah in korean version i get liek around 16kb/s and i gotta wait overnight
but this version goes liek 250kb/s and it stays in the 200s (i use Gigaget btw)

I got these two hook thingys that make this circular glowy animation like a heal when they are used. You hold them like they were two pistols. Anyway, I'll see you guys this weekend. basically if you wanna join...

first you go apply at the guild stone

then selected guild members will teach you the basic fighting techniques

after a few lessons then you will be going to a dungeon with us

and if you are able to fight normally in a dungeon, that'll mean you pass the screening and will be accepted into the guild


after all we are making a guild of QUALITY, so it might seem we are making things a bit strict, but it's for both the guild and the new players' own good.

If they cared, they wouldn't be having screenings to see how well you do in a dungeon.

They don't anymore actually, killing bears was difficult for newbies they thought. They just want you to be mature =P I was accepted before going in a dungeon with them. Barri was fun =P I died a lot though since it was my first dungeon.

@Spirit-Ok I've figured out what was wrong. When you get to the part where it says *Verify your registration* you have to type capital letters when there are capital letters. Example: In Pic it shows : RABO
You have to type : RABO
Hope that fixes it.

This game is a lot of fun and unique. I can't wait until I can do my first dungeon. I'm looking forward to joining English and have been PMing the members, but they have all ignored me. I guess I'll just look for Serea or something. The professions seemed pretty cool, and this game has a lot of questing in it as well. I'm sure that when Mabinogi goes English, it will be very successful. I'm currently level 8 now and keep attacking these monsters that look like the monsters I can easily kill, but they are actually a much stronger version, and I end up dying a lot and losing my XP. Anyway, I hope to see more of you guys join the fun.

Are you a windmiller? Anyways, you don't have the Iria tutorial. (I'm guessing you started in urla) Ok, I'll type up the guide for iria.

Iria is the exploring continent. It has dungeons but they are difficult for beginners. To go to Urla, press the windows key or the button of the bottom left corner and press continent change.

Now to do the tutorial for iria, look around for a girl and an orb on a table. Talk to the orb until a bird drops something on you. That's a quest. Now look on your minimap (if it isn't there press M) there should be 2 pink squares. Go to the 1 that isn't past the gate. Now you should be at a wall. Punch it then go back to the girl.
After that I think you go to the orb again and have a bird drop something on you or after you talk to the girl the bird drops something. (I've forgotten) Just keep following the pink square.
Look in your inventory once and a while, she might have given you an item required for the quest. If it's drawing paper, go to the pink square, you should be at a statue. Go near it, go to your inventory, right click the drawing paper and press use. Once the bubble stops moving (there should be 1 over your head) click on the statue.
If you get L Rods, equip them, now walk around until you hear beeps. This might take you a while. When you do hear beebs, it's basically hot and cold. When you hear 4 beeps, right click the L Rods and press use. Then when the bubble stops moving, click on the area where you think the object is. (you're looking for an object btw) If nothing happens, try again.

Once you finished the L Rods quest, I think you finished the tutorial. Go through the gates. Now, do all the newbie quests. Instructions are on this site. http://www.kuroshin.net/serea/ Go to quests then Iria. Once finished them all, I advise you continent change.

basic thing you should know when making a character

you cant use the things marked with a star unless its a premium character card your using
so ya if your using the premium things then ya need to have a premium card

Well, nothing much about character creation, just looks. Make sure when you select stuff, make sure there is no star next to it.

These hair-styles are from the cash shop,you can't get them if you don't buy Gash money.

Same thing, everytime I get a new quest its always the one with the statue drawing. I have like stacks of paper in my inventory >.>

once you completed the drawing quest,
You must go back to the same tower, empty all your hands and
click on the tower to gather the fragments. After that quest,
you must equip L-Rod given from NPC and search for a hidden relic.

Yeah, the Japanese version has an IP block. So your basicly screwed playing the game if you don't live in Japan -.-.

yesir, like right away as i got confused with things i posted haha.

damn so far im in love with this game ALL BECAUSE OF THE FIGHTING, i just cant get over the fact how awesome it is when you knock a huge *** ram on their back and them charging at you and you get hit and slide back, that is just plain amazing, this is the first time i've seen this happen in an MMO, ussually everyone stays in place during a fight, pssshhh boring. but this is like revolutionary haha

Is it possible to make an Elf or a Giant on this version?

i dont think the TW version has caught up to the point where you can be an Elf

Elf is coming on april 3rd. (G5 = Generation 5) Also new stuff like new maps, towns and dungeons will come. Thing is though, I think you need to buy an elf card to be an elf. Elves are good at archery and slightly better then humans at magic but they have horrible melee. I'll stick to my human mage and just make an archer elf. =P

I don't mind too much because I like this game so much I'll might be paying for it. Can't really wait for the english version. I hate the fact there is no chain casting until G6 which might be coming in a few months or so. The english version is so going to be behind so mages would suck for a year or more.

Mainstream quests, you can join other people in them since you have to pay for service to get it. You could buy gash (cash shop money) with ingame money so you can buy service i guess.

First you have to get an elf card =_= If you're on the TW server, join a guild =3 English or Orz. Then, go to elf town. It's easier to explain ingame.

I just posted the kuroshin link =_= You guys never listen T_T To deletea character, just delete it and wait a day, on the next day, click delete and the character should be gone. Then logout then login then a new card should be there. I have 3 accounts though =P That's how I have so many characters in my signature.

well its easy for the id card number.. Just go to google .com and then type in Hong Kong ID card number. Then press the images link and there u go. You could also search it in wikepedia to get the format.. anyways i've got the most common one which is A688688U . haha..thats all
