I'm 99.9% sure that it's pay to play and I believe the release is Q4 of this year. So my guess would be that it will be released in November/December.

Warhammer looks like an awsome game and its made by Mythic the people who made DAoC that was the best game ever made if they have a pvp system like RvR then it will pwn WoW :D

Warhammer Online is more PvP orientated with PvE thrown in.
WoW is the opposite.

There are more races in WoW (10 compared to the 6 - 7 if you include Goblins in the Greenskin section, found in Warhammer Online)
There are more classes in WAR (18, race specific compared to the 9 in WoW)

There are classes which are dedicated to healing in WoW, whereas in WAR every character can heal to a certain extent.

They are two completely different games with similar genres.

My WoW /played time totals in the region of 70-80 days so I'm totally unbiased to either, although I do plan to try out WAR.

War looks nice... Did'nt Blizzard buy its rights? I sorta recall it doing that... If so, than that was a smart move. Since I have a feeling War will attract a steady population, maybe even some that are playing WoW right now.

Though I, personally, would play War. I just like the whole 'land at war' setting and the mass PvP. Oh, and I really would love tobe a midget Greenskin with a bow.:p

Probably because in Warhammer Lore, the Orks (I'm sure it's always been spelt with a 'K' in Warhammer' and Goblins are born from little pod thingies and so may be visually different but genetically very similar.

Warhammer has twice the number of classes as WoW does.

Warhammer graphics are much more 'hardcore' than WoW's ever were..and no..I'm not a WAR fanboy, I played WoW for almost 2 years.
