Well, I am just about to go into King Raithwall's Tomb. I just finished killing, Garuda, and my walkthrough book does not tell me what to do from here on. Can somebody who has beaten this game, or gotten past this part, please give me some help?


I will tell you my set-up's and my weapons, and my players levels and all that information if need be. I would just like to know what the best set-ups for this part would be best.

small question why do you use a walkthrough? isnt it more fun to just find evrything out?

I use a walkthrough sorta, just so I don't accadently mess up getting the most powerful weapon in the game, some spear.

EDIT: Wait, you just killed the mob that was waiting outside?
You have to equip the stone that you were given (it makes you get 0 mp or 0 exp don't recall)
and then you have to touch the pedistole in the middle of the room. If you touch it with out that item equiped then 3 skeletons will appear and will not give you any exp.

and then you have to touch the pedistole in the middle of the room. If you touch it with out that item equiped then 3 skeletons will appear and will not give you any exp.

so lothia you don't actually play games without walkthrough O.O" i even played Final fantasy on the snes when i was young without walkthrough (believe me its hard if you can't read english or even know that there exist other language then dutch >.<)

I finished this game without a walkthrough just fine. I like to finish it once without a walkthrough (just more satisfying that way), then play it again with a walkthrough and get everything possible. Besides, running around trying to find out what you're meant to do is a good way to level up....

@God Hand, there are many walkthroughs on www.gamefaqs.com, try different ones if you dont find the information you need in one particular one.

the best way to get walkthrough is in www.IGN.com <- the people who submitted waklthrough there are mostly proffesionals and people that u can rely on like redscarlet(he/she is my mentor since all the game i played using a walktrough is from him/her)

Well, to tell the truth, I go to www.cheatcc.com for walkthroughs. They're fan-made and surprisingly good! (for some games at least) FF12 is one of those games that you have to buy the official Prima guide for or you're not going to get squat for info. I only used it, as Lothia said, so I could get the Zodiac Spear. Later in the game at least...haven't beaten it yet. T_T (damn my brother and his hogging the PS2!)

Yeah, the only thing I do is check the walkthrough to see if it says DON'T OPEN THAT CHEST. Because there are 4 chests that you are not supposed to open.
Besides I bought the limited edition walkthrough because I went out at midnight the day it was released to get the limited edition game and players guide :).
I also use it to learn about weapons and armor.
I loved Ninja sword, and changed my main fighter to a axe/hammer. He averages about 200 more damage then all other characters (because he does 89-2400 damage) but usually i get about 2 hits from 2000-2400 for ever 1 hit of 89-500 so it works out.
My ninja user averages about 1100 a hit, and I get at least one 2 hit in every high, and usually get a 4 hit in every 4 fights so he does very well.

I never found axes or blunt weapons very effective. For Basch and Vaan, I tried to mainly make them tank and force them on the front lines with a sword and shield in hand. And usually had Fran in the back casting support magic and firing her arrows into the enemies. That was my party through almost the whole game so far. I just wanna play again! T_T

Ahh I use Pel as my magic and have her with staff because she heals so much more then Fran does w/ her bow. I can heal about 1500 with Cura at lvl 37 :). But yeah full magic armor helps a huge amount. I love the weapon because it does more damage then your average sword, and if it has attribute like disable its even nicer.

i love this game XD FF9 no longer my fav now its FF12. its only annoying in the start when you dont understand the attack system i died a few times before i understood it >.<

I use Vaan - Balthier 'n Fran
we are all lvl 32's at the moment had the game about 3 days,
but other commitments have prevailed.
anway, the only thing that annoys me a little is the guests,
you can't do much with them controlling wise.
At the moment I have Larsa and he's a pain in the arse!
he always dies and he fights like a pussy! ;)
I tried an experiment cause i thought sod this lets kill him off!
I had him attack Malboro's by himself,
so, I turned off all gambits and caused him fight them himself !
he had so much hi potions it was a joke! not mine! his!
saved his arse from dying for ages and ages! then he started using x potion, this drove me nuts he wouldn't die!! lol
So I went in for the kill! killed all the malboro's and set off finding another beast for him - found HellHounds SWEET!
this'll kill the sucker!
Yep he died within moments! lol that got rid of him.
so I happly went about gaining more xp .

my team is :P Vaan (sword and shield has till lvl5), Ashe (just gained her but she can usse her quikening and reflect and such), penelo (just required but can use immobilize and has quikening and all lvl5 magic and mystic armor till vl5)


Reserves : Balthier(bow, gun) Basch(sword, bow, time magic), Fran (i dun like her XD)

My team was Vaan, Ashe and Basch. I was around level 65 i think lol. The only thing that let this game down is it Play time, i love when a game is long to finish, but i found this one was to long, i got bored of it at a moment because it was never ending lol. Still a dam good game tho

Since I posted here (not just to flame) I will post my party... I use Vaan, Basch, and Fran. Even tho I doubt anyone who posted in this when it was around will even read it. Wasted text anyone?
