This is self downloader install it and let run, if u download is slow u can use Torents clients maybe this help a little. In download folder u find torrent file for Cabal client.

You need to have japanese language installed on your computer, otherwise the game will crash after the loading screen.

Are you sure you have japanese language installed properly?

Yep. I tried re-installing the japenese translation and did tried logging on again, it worked.O_o Thanks for the support though/:p

Well I am doing the registration and tyrinyg to figure out why I can't get passed the next step after you fill in all the info it takes me to this area where i see a whole lot of jap symbols

Into your cabal folder, so that the "Data" folder in your patch zip file, overwrites the one in your cabal folder.

The hyperlink above is the site that I used in order to play on the Japanese version of Cabal in the manner that the OP was describing. The Cabal Database's instructions aren't too clear, so I'll help with a few parts they're kind-of grey about.

The first link in the Cabal Database forum thread is a .rar that contains the East Asian Language stuff for Windows. You can get the stuff there if you don't have your XP CD.

Once you have installed the East Asian languages set, you can go ahead and reboot your PC then, if you want to. After the Cabal client has finished downloading and installing, run the program so that you can patch it entirely - once all the patching is complete, then use the Japanese->English .rar that you downloaded to replace the contents of the Data folder in Cabal's program file. The data you need to replace it with is in the .rar's "Patch Data" folder.

NOTE! If JP Cabal EVER updates with a new patch of any kind, you have to re-patch Cabal's "Data" folder with the contents of the Japanese->English .rar that you downloaded, otherwise, it might go wiggy and it will be unreadable for those of us who can't read katakana.

and put the .rar file in the folder and then rightclick and select "extract here" then do click on "yes to all"

not against, but just it's kinda annoying as it's a repost...there was already 3 or 4 topics and more post about it...but meh w/e if ppl are lazy to search it's fine posting the infos once in a while...

well i'v become bored w/ waiting for gobal cabal to come out lol... i'v just got a couple questions.... w/ jap cabal and the eng. patch. does it do 100% translation? like weapons/skills/mobs/items/quest ect ect? or is it like most what ppl do twhere thye just make the quests english and leave wepaons/skill n such in jap/korean?

The update page stays in jp, but your buttons (such as Option and Start buttons) should be in english.

does any besides me experience lagg? since the server is in japan wouldnt we get lagg?

*edit* i cant seem to get the eng patch to work. where do u install it? cus i installed it in data but when i clicked on it it just went from : data->language->data.........etc. can sum1 show me where to install it. (im using win ace)

You dont extract it IN the Data folder, you extract it in your cabal folder. The zip file has a custom Data folder in it. When you extract it in your cabal folder, the Data folder in the zip overwrites the one in your cabal folder (you have to agree to let it overwrite), and then everything will be in english.

how much does the translation patch actually translate ingame?
I decided to give this a try, i don't mind it being in katakana (not that i can read it though), but in english would be lovely.

now my prob is... i tested it and works well since last week... but now after the sever patch updated... i cant login to game and told me tat" cant login to game and try again later...

Thats the IP block, you can't play cabal jp if you are in the USA.
