Whats a female ninja called? I know what it is but I can't spell it, but I'm thinking of using it for a concept in City of Heroes :P

Unless you're referring to a certain type of fiction, I don't actually think females were allowed to be Ninjas. It was a male occupation, and beyond that, a peasant one, a daimyo (Lord) or even a minor noble would be dishonored by a Ninjas sneaking tactics, therefore peasants, men with little honor to begin with, are the only ones that were trained as Ninjas.
Women were, as far as I can tell, never allowed to anything beyond the purely domestic (Except, of course, learning to fight with spears and staves, which was considered to be the one fighting art a female should be allowed to learn, so that she can defend her home when her husband is away.). It was common, usually essentiall, for them to be skilled tea-mistresses, as a part of their duty, but thats about as far is it went.
But then, I'm neither an expert or even someone who has dedicated too much time to the subject.
