Well, I am getting a new computer in a few months, and when I get it, I want GuildWars, too. So, what would I need to run the game on high?

Oh, and do you get better RAM by getting a better hard drive with more memory or something? I don't remember...

RAM's called Random Access Memory, it loads data into your RAM so that the data can be loaded faster, by re-using the data, if i'm correct. It's that long and thin stick with many black bars on it, found sticking out of your motherboard. Depending on your motherboard you can see if you have any mroe extra space to put more RAM in...

As for Guild Wars.

Minimum System Specs:
Windows XP/2000/ME/98
Intel Pentium III 800 Mhz or equivalent
256 MB RAM
CD-ROM Drive
2 GB Available HDD Space
ATI Radeon 8500 or GeForce 3 or 4 MX Series Video Card with 32MB of VRAM
16-bit Sound Card
Internet connection
Keyboard and mouse

Recommended System Specs:
Windows XP/2000/ME/98
Intel Pentium III 1GHz or equivalent
512 MB RAM
CD-ROM Drive
2 GB Available HDD Space
ATI Radeon 9000 or GeForce 4 Ti Series Video Card with 64MB of VRAM
16-bit Sound Card
Internet connection
Keyboard and mouse

Though, I personally run a 2.4GHz and have 1gig of ram, and it still lags for me. If you want less lag, get a graphics card with more ram, and a faster processor. Those will decide your lagness more than your RAM, though of course, RAM also plays a role.

Guild Wars doesn't require that good of a video card to play with all high settings..

I had GeForce FX 5500 and I could run it pretty good, and my god was that a crappy card.

Since then I've moved on to a GeForce 7600 GS, but I don't play Guild wars anymore, and I assume my card would rape with Guild wars -as it does with most games- .

Sadly got addicted to WoW.

Ah I see, because I lag alot on guild wars. I think I have a crappy graphics card, a Nvidia GeForce 6200.

It could just be my processor speed, but I don't know. This thing's been with me since 2 years ago.

I didn't lag at all with my 5500 so idk why your lagging with a 6200 :-/

I use to play guild wars on integrated graphics with 256mb of RAM on dial-up.

That was soooo horrible.

it really matters on when u get on i normally don't get on till late at night(i play to many MMOs) and i play almost seamlessly but when i used to play during the day the lag was unbearable in large cities.

Here are my old computer specs.

Intel Pentium III, ~930 Mhz
300 something RAM (I know it was in the 300's...)
NVidia RIVA TNT 2 Model 64 (Ughh...)
60GB HD Space

If I just upgrade my GPU and HD, could I run it on high? Or do you think I should also upgrade Processor and RAM? Because I am on a $600 and under budget here...

You need to upgrade pretty much everything to be able to run it on high.

I am getting a better computer now.

Specs:
Intel Pentium 4, 3.00 Ghz
1GB RAM
160GB Hard Drive

Plus the graphics card I am buying, too.
e-GeForce 7900 Graphics Card (Look at the this (http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/EVGA-e-GeForce-7900-GS-Graphics-Card-256P2N622DX/sem/rpsm/oid/160908/catOid/-13043/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do) website for more information.

You'll pretty much be able to rape every game you play with that rig.

EDIT: Nvm... I checked the 'Realm Status' page on the WoW site and found it... ^.^' Heheh... I thought it was a game, at first... XD But now I know it is a server.
