First off, I'm NOT looking for Runescape or Sherwood. I'm also not looking for MapleStory or Endless Online, but I did rather like some aspects of those (like the cutesy graphics).

It must be free (or at least have a fun free version - no trials, please), and have or be the following:

- LOW REQUIREMENTS (if your first thought is "get a better computer", you can leave now, kaythanksbye)
- Unique - or at least have SOME unique aspects
- At least some players whose collective IQ seems to be more than 30
- A decent economy (currency isn't too hard to earn, items aren't overly expensive, etc)
- Either no PK'ing, or a specific and easily avoidable area to PK in
- Something that I don't HAVE to spend every second of my free time on to get anywhere (2-3 hours at a time is typically the most I play, and that's during weekends and holidays, and that's only if I have nothing better to do).

I'd prefer it to have or be (but these aren't necessary):

- Somewhat new (<2 years?)
- Good graphics (no, I'm not one of those morons who thinks that bad 3D = good graphics, by the way. Doesn't matter if it's 2D or 3D to me.)
- Decent community (players mostly willing to answer newbies' questions; non-existant to minimal amount of pathetic morons trying to find significant others on a stupid game; friendly administrators/moderators; all that jazz)
- Cool features (good mini-games, clans/guilds with nice in-game perks, spiffy characters that you can "dress up" with your equipment, think along the lines of that)

i know a nice game i played, Mu Online.
-it has some nice difference sets of armor.
-many area's to explore.
-pretty good PK-sytem
-ive been addicted to it for about a half year/1 year
-( reason why i quit: was distracted by other games when i became member of onrpg forums XD , and then my account was deleted cuz i didn't played it for about 3 month's)

(-also you can get on private servers whith new stuff like different enemies more area's ( you didt get this from me :P) )
but if i had my account back, i would happyli play it again :3

I know people tend to flame me because I'm picky. Also, I didn't say it HAD to have a good community...I just prefer it to. I know that once every game hits more than roughtly twenty active chatters the community tends to go downhill. I've found one game that fits my requirements and I'm craving more of the same.

'Tis why I'm going into game design after high school. Albeit I intend to work on console games for the most part, but if I ever start my own company I think I might just start or help with an MMO as a hobby between projects.

Dofus is fun. it doent have nice graphics but its one of the only good strategic MMOs out. or u could just w8 for Wakfu which has updated graphics.

Flaming annoys me, even more if they're flaming someone else for stupid reasons. (like this for example)

On Topic: Ok, many good games that fit your requirements are foreign. There is mabinogi, 3d but cute and good graphics. I'm not sure if your computer would handle it. Character custimization is incredible. I haven't a single person with the same clothes as me, unless on purpose =P (I wear a blue robe) Pking is allowed only in the arena or if paladin vs darkknight is on. Since this game is foreign (taiwanese version is the best, look for the guide in the foreign section) you should join 1 of the 2 english guilds, ||Orz or English. I'm in orz. I'm not sure if the tight playing time will fit with this game but going through a 3 floor dungeon with a party takes an hour and it is really fun. Both guilds have a lot of people (orz only has 20 actually but still growing) so you can party with lots of people in dungeons. Some life skills (tailoring, fishing, cooking, etc) have minigames. Also the combat is skill based mainly so a lvl 1 could kill the lvl 20 if he isnt careful.

srry for that... i was pissed off at the world that night...so srry for the flame...(im goin into game disign too cuz im looking for that perfect game. till then oh well:D )

well I have 512 ram and 256 ddr vid card to me thats pretty crappy if could get a better comp but as other people have said I cant get a job I cant use y my own money beca I use on important stuff and anyways i spend stuff on games for x box orginal (to poor for next gen system) and junk

I would really recommend you the upcoming Perfect World. In my eyes its the first real F2P MMORPG with a very rich feature set and a great gameplay style like WoW/Lineage 2/FFXI... (its a seemless persistant world, which you can influence, has a great deep story about the chinese Myth "Pangu", beautiful graphics and art, quest advancement - no grind etc. - there are already more than 30 million registered players in china, japan, vietnam and taiwan alone!).

I also believe once this game hits the western shore, we will here much more about it. Feature wise and from what I have already tested/played, its already a big competition to WoW/Eq2/L2...
