The impossable may be possable.

In an interview with an American television station, Reggie Fils-Aime, the president of Nintendo of America, said that Nintendo has done all it can to persuade Take-Two Interactive Software to bring the Grand Theft Auto franchise to Nintendo consoles, and it is now up to the third party publisher to decide whether Rockstar Games' immensely popular series will appear on Wii. We should know more later in 2007 regarding this issue.
I don't think this is going to happen, well maybe it can be like GTA Vice City with bad graphics, and not to big of a game so it can run on the wii, but I think it should stay with the pros, PS3 and Xbox.

Yeah, but think about the kids playing this game. Won't it turn them kind of violent. Like, they got bad from games with controllers, now getting the feel like you're holding a gun and shooting people and hijacking cars and being in gangs and ect... Does that sound safe at all?

You're going tits out on the info aren't you? :p
And I heard something about GTA on Wii...
Lol, I remember when they brought Mortal Kombat on SNES (or NES...not sure) and people protested the blood's colour should be changed from red to green because it was "too realistic"...
Big leap from green blood to banging prostitutes in a stolen car.

more kids own a ps2 and a grand theft auto game than a kid with just a ps2 i think its safe to say
...
NO WORRIES! we got manhunt 2 coming out lmfao
Yeah, but think about the kids playing this game.
What kids? They can't buy the game unless its not rated R or higher.
They shouldn't be touching this game.
The people to be blamed for kids playing the game are the people who let the kids play it. Not Nintendo or the game's company.

Nintendo is smart, they're aiming for mother ****ing WOOO games. If it isn't for kids WELL THEN PARENTS DON'T BUY THE GAMES!
Simple.
And the graphics won't suck.May i remind you that the hardware must fit in such a small console that is cheap and affordable and still manages to run graphics like THIS

That's the whole ****in point. If the kids don't buy the games, then who will. With all the negative media of how "games can cause you to kill people", what parent is going to knowingly buy them a game with that kind of information resting in their mind. While the average gamer is 38 YO only 15% of the gaming community plays games rated Mature while Everyone has a fancied 42% and Teen coming in at 32%. You guys aren't understanding this. What 40 year old male wants to mess with some little Miis. What 40 YO gamer wants to go play some Wii Tennis. Nintendo is advertising towards kids and with everything going against them, even if GTA went multi-plat, their sales wouldn't boost.
True.
Altough, the advertises for PS3 are realy freaky...VERY freaky...I'm yet to see a Wii advertise in my country, anyway. Are they any cool?
PS2 was basicly made for teens. Why?Why,it followed the role model of the PSX which teens loved. My mom doesn't let me buy anything but RPGs/a few FPS/Action,Adventure and that kind of stuff.
It's the only game types i like, anyway. But now,i'd get any game i'd ask if i had the money.

Well you guys are all talking like all parents act like one another and are role models for their kids. There are those crazy abusive parents, then there are the parents that buy their kids anything. And there are parents that don't care about their kids and let them do anything. Also, if a kid wants to buy a game at the store, the people behind the till probably hates his/her job(because it SOOOOO damnboring, believe me, and your feet always hurt, and they don't even give you stool to sit on for a little bit, but back to my point) and they dont care who they're selling the game to, they just want to get paid, and go home. Then the kid who has it invites his/her firneds over, and all these kids who wasn't allowed to play is all now playing and getting addicted. Then you get those bad kids on the street shooting up schools and what not. I know bad neighbourhoods weren't made like this, but many bad kids are made like this because they want to be like someone. Why not the guy you're playing in the game. He's
(Sorry for the bouble post, but I gotta finish my last post, Im typing on the PS3 and it wont let me type to much)
He's so cool, he makes killing people look fun, and being on the streets and invovled with gangs look so awsome, why not try to be like him?
I was at blockbusters the other day, and a kid who looked 5 years old with like a 4 year old brother was asking for GTA SA and their parents were buying it for him. I couldn't believe it, I wanted to but in and say isn't that kind of bad of a game to get him, but that would be rude. Other time, it was a 6 year old asking his mother for the game at wal-mart, and she came up to the till and placed that game infront of me. I looked at the kid, and looked at her and asked her "Who you buying this game for?" and she replied with not even a change in her voice "My son," as she put her hand ontop of her kids head. I had to then ask her if he was a only child, and she nodded to that. Then before I even swiped the game I said straight up to her, "Umm, Miss, Im not a
(Yes, on last part now, lol)
allowing you to buy this game for your son. Don't you see its rated M for mature. They don't put that on there for fun Miss." And she replyed back laughing a bit. "Oh, they only put that there because it has a little bit of blood, I've seen it, its not that bad and kids love it." Then I looked at her like she was an idoit. "Holy Miss, it aint rated M for the blood, its because of the features of the game, and im not selling this to you, if you want it so bad go to some other store, because this is the only till right now, and im the judge of it. So leave!" And she was so mad at me too, threating to tell my manager on me. Even kids parents are blind to what the game can do to kids minds. I have a wannabie blood friend now after playing GTA SA too much. You don't really see it, but it really changes a person, and gets in their minds. It makes me kind of mad parents let this happen to their kids, then wonder why they're behind bars, or dead, or just being escorted home by police.

That's a whole 'lotta bullshit, and you know it. Regardless of the situation, age does not matter here. If that were true, the PS3 and 360 would be too mature a system, and only legal adults would be playing such things. On another note, I doubt the Mii is required in the first place, and if it is, you'll most likely only have to create one before you're started.

The only problem is controls. It doesn't have a joystick which is what most people use while playing GTA. But the back trigger would work fine for shooting. I guess they could create a GTA controller. It would be like the Duck Hunter controllers.

How can you say age doesn't matter? If age didn't matter then why would they post 18+ on the covers? All i'm saying is that when parents watch the news and they hear these accusations of how video games cause kids to act violently, it dissuades them to getting violent videogames; more or less video games rated M. Also about the Mii, that's what their advertising. Nintendo isn't advertising any mortal combat or COD3. They're advertising Wii Sports and Link. They're targeting kids.

It depends on the child, if you are crazy enough to give a violent kid GTA for the Wii, you need help.

No. Hell, no. Home had more time to be developed than the Mii Channel, and the Plaza. But I doubt much people will play Home seeing as you can just go outside and do whatever it is they let you do in Home.
Wrong. The Playstation community is very excited about Home.
I'm also, quite excited for it.
As for the thread's topic; it's possible. Easily. However, expect a GTA that will be watered down in all aspects. Also, I wouldn't get too excited about playing it with a Wiimote. The gameplay in the game isn't designed to work around it, and although you can imagine great things, the majority of it will be impossible to implement due to technical limitations and clunkiness. A perfect example of this is Red Steel's sword combat.
And, even with that said, you simply have to keep in mind that the Wii isn't getting an exclusive version of GTA, designed completely around the remote. At best, it will be a significantly watered down port of its' 360/PS3 counterparts. So, expect something that is the equivalent of Call of Duty 3 on the Wii, when compared to Call of Duty 3 on the PS3 and 360, and, with complete lack of HD support.
