I tried it on my old computer and it ran like crap (my old comp was crap XD ) its a good game because of it's realism, u know, like tatics. no running n jumping, guns jamming. i couldnt tell my teammates from the enemys lol XD

Yea the first one lol but the downloading is taking so long im now only at 2% and im using DAP but lets say im linving in Malaysia can I play it sice it says americas army???

You can play it, as Iv played that with people from all over the place. You may lag some, as the servers are in the US, but you should be okay.

It's okay. Not much fire fights here and there. No Run and gun.

You start off by doing some training. Practice shooting, moving, parachuting, sneaking, driving, blowing up tanks and such.

You'll need to pass certain tests to get certain maps or gun.
E.g. You need to score a certain amount of hits in the Rifle Test to be able to qualify for the Sniper Tests.
E.g.2 You'll need to pass the medic exam to apply for a medic in battle.

Test are based be how well you play and how well you know/remember stuff.
Get this much points to pass.
Get this much right answers to pass.


Games are mission oriented; you go to point A, do this at point C, etc.
Or
Prevent them from going to Point A, doing this at Point C, etc.
Each map has different objectives.

You'll need:

Skill - How well you battle.
Perception - How well you know your enemy.
Teamwork - How well you work with and as a team.
Patience - How long you'll be willing to wait.


Lack one, then you may as well have doom the other(s).

Someone will die~ It may be you or your maybe victim.
There's no respawn points. Once you've died, you're dead until the end of the round.

There's also NPC maps. It's easier for people who have a hard time surviving a battle against players. The NPCs aren't all that smart but they can kill you in no time if you're careless.

My computer can run this okay in the very low settings, but my FPS rate is quite low.

All in all, it's a good teambased fps.

Im having trouble with it....like when I was at 70+% and since I tought that it will probably take another hour I went out for a while and when I came back it went back straight 1

Oh I think I know why...I guess I downloaded it from cloudfile or sometong like that(not sure wats the name of the site) it says that there are 2 parts and I have to download it seperately...I guess I must have finish downloading the first one...

And lastly does the traning take a long time to finish....

Yes there are clans, dont know much about them, but they are around.

Training can take 10-15 mins if you just do the basic stuff, but if you dont do the rest of it you miss out on a number of maps and other things. Part of the training can be 'skipped' so to speak, as you can find the test answers online.

America's Army is pretty good but its pretty hard and I wouldn't reccomend it if you like fast paced FPS games.

It pisses me off, because I love this game but since version 2.0 or so, it's just gone above what my PC can handle and I don't have the means to upgrade at the moment.

Why have they gone up though? Well, around version 1.9 the character models were all replaced with much higher quality ones, textures were updated and all that jazz. Basically a near complete overhaul of the game, graphically. Then later, around version 2.7, they added Coop missions and the AI takes a considerably good CPU to run properly.

There have been little updates here and there as well throughout the last 8 or so versions.

There's a chance the download was corrupted. The increased speed of using DAP is nice, but unfortunately, most download accelerators have a chance of messing up the file.

I guess the file itself could be bad, try a different mirror too if the problem continues.

Alrite now i have finally finish dowloading the file successfully but now I have 1 problem I cant open it....

Im a CS fan but i loved the realsim of AA you could just sit there with a sniper waiting all round but its so much fun cos u dunno where they are or if u do u just wait till they pop out and bang..but in CS its just run around bang bang annyoing twat on the mic AA really does bring home the realsim

AA has a LOT more tactic to it then counter strike. Also, the game is being upgraded occasionally. When it was first released, the game was 280mb, now its 2.5gig.

But, you should try gamershell.com to download it. They have regional servers for europe and US, usually very fast.

I was SO addicted to AA.But i also hated it because the last Special Forces mission was SO boring.And i kept failing it.

Apart from that,it's realy fun.I learned to be patient and hunt my preys and i had a sharp aim.
Currently,i'm enjoying 2142 because it has it's realism and you can't just jump around-You'd get owned easily.
Low points on the game go for the fact ,i think, head,legs,arms,body shots with automatic guns don't realy have to be accurate.

Alrite after 6 days of downloading and redownloading I have finally managed to download and install the game successfullyXD

But now the only problem I have is that when I clicked on the AA icon the banner appeared and I waited for about 10mins but still noting happened:(

OK guy check the specs to play it and have GOOD graphic cards GOOD internet connection and just dam good computer because when version 3.0 of americas army is coming out there using unreal graphic engine.

In real life when you get shot you bleed in AA when you get shot you bleed(if its a flash bang you bleed for like a short period of time) hit in the arm or hands short period of time chest is long.A medic can not heal you in this game only stop you from bleeding that is the most realistic it can get...Its not like war rock where you can be a medic and pull out a syringe with red stuff in it and left click and heals you to full HP.

One thing extremely stupid about this game:

You have to take dam classes to activate classes its a game and I doubt anyone who played it had the will to join the army so why make it so irritating.

You don't have nearly enough RAM, and that's just for the Minimum. You'll have some problems playing this FPS with that.

You think your the only one with the problem....Just move on and play another game...I have try redownloading the game for a week and when I have finish installing it I cant run it....The banner appears but the game nvr starts.....And your right every link that AA gives you doesn't work...

i used fileshack to download it. It capped it at 150k/sec but tha was pretty good for me :). And filefront is good for the 2.8.1 patch.
