ZB prot monk right? i thought zb was a ele spiker lol..

ZB = Zealous Benediction. The nerf wasn't too bad, just a lack of 3 energy. But I think it adds up in the long run.

Nerfed big time. Yes it does add up waaay to much in the end. That is one of the reasons I am on break again. Hard Mode didn't keep me occupied...

You can make up for it by using that balthazar skill that gives energy and adrenaline per hit that you recieve. Bond your allies, cast that, and whenever they take damage, you takes damage as well, inducing the balthazar skill giving you energy. At least, that's how I see ZB monks work nowadays.

*edit* The skill's name is Balthazar's Spirit, and the other skill that helps with energy management is Essence Bond. Using both of them at the same time would result in a -2 pip of energy regeneration, but still giving you a positive 2. Still, casting those skills on a tank would definitely make up for all the energy loss.
