Age of Conan Beta Signups starts

The Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures Website is now accepting signups for those interested in beta testing Funcom's upcoming MMORPG set in Robert E. Howard's Hyborian age. Applications are being taken on the webpage, and here's word:

Age of Conan will go through two beta tests: the Technical Beta and the General Beta. These will run simultaneously, though the Technical Beta will mostly consist of short test-runs that will be held sporadically during the coming months. The purpose of the Technical Beta is to test the various technical features of the game, such as server capacity and other technicalities. The General Beta will focus on gameplay and will be on-going.

Both parts of the Age of Conan beta will launch this spring and the sooner you sign up, the greater the chance you’ll have of actually getting invited into either parts of the beta. Know that by joining the thousands of Hyborian pioneers who first get the chance to explore the world, you will have access to certain benefits. For instance, your character in the final version of the game will be awarded a token of appreciation for your services.

Some of us don't have to. :-/

Anyone who changes it, will get screwed later, and complain its too laggy and what not. I think sending DXdiag is a fairly genius idea, and many won't think to change it.

I will hopefully get in, I've been able to run every single game(Rainbow Six Vegas, Command and Conquer 3, Supreme Commander, STALKER etc) I've ever tried on highest settings with nice frames.

It says you can choose both but not guarantee a chance into the other beta testing stage. I'm not being greedy so I'm just going to choose general. I just want to give it a try in the stress test.

it looks semi-ok but the combat will get boring and doesent seem like the game will have much else...i dont have high hopes for this

there you are mistaken, don't know if you remember the WoW vs SRO thread, there was one who could play SRO maxed with a geforce 2mx, so appaerantly, they go way lower :) for what i know, G2MX was 32 or 64 mb max.

Anyhow, here are my specs:
Intel P4
Windows XP Pro SP2
3.2 Ghz Processor
Radeon X600 Pro 256 MB DDR

From the screenshots looks like my pc is gunna get raped im running a

1gb corsair ddr ram
amd athlon 64 3500+ 2.2ghz
eVGA 7800gt
250gb hard drive.

this game looks like oblivion wich pretty much owned my pc could only play at around 15-30 fps outdoors and since this game is online problly gunna own my shit up way more >.< I signed up for beta anyways though.

I should get in.I've been having Blue Screens of Death Issues when loading on some games but nothing changing my O.S back to Windows XP can't fix.

Beta test means they'll probably choose low end PCs too :p

Anyone found the specs ? I can't seem to find it O_O Or maybe they will only confirm the specs after the beta tests~
