Alright everyone, I was hoping to hold off on this until our new content was posted, but my lead programmer has gone MIA. Many of you have seen or heard about our project, X-Shift. Originally, it was slated to be a 2d isometric MMORPG, but recent advancements in our team have allowed us to move into a fully 3d environment.

Team Name: Phoenix Concepts, LLC
Project Name: X-Shift
Language: Java, using the JMonkey library and FengGUI for the interface.

Existing Team:
Graphic Designers
Sound Composers
Sound Engineers
Modelers
Riggers
Animators
Compositors
Writers
Designers
Web Developers
Administrative (legal issues, marketing, etc)
and a sad handful of part-time programmers...

The game is a post-modern MMORPG (cyber punk setting, similar to Shadowrun, Blade Runner, Robocop, Johnny Mnemonic, etc.) We're striving to create a more cinematic game, with an emphasis on "suspension of disbelief." We're maintaining a lot of classic elements from popular MMOGs, as well as implementing several new and innovative features.

The game will be 3rd person with full camera rotation and zoom, dynamic lighting, real-time combat (not twitch-based), feature a large skill list, interactive environment and admin instigated/player run progressive storyline.

Within the next month, we will have our new site layout up, filled with the latest content since our switch to 3d, as well as a full CGI trailer/teaser for the game.

What we need are programmers. If you have experience in Java programming, especially working with JMonkey and/or FengGUI, and you're interested in working with a talented, fun and challenging team of mature developers, contact me. You can either reply here, PM me or contact me on our forums at http://xshiftonline.com

Since we are a small, start-up company, all work is volunteer. However, the game is planned for commercial release, at which point, teammates will be paid as 3rd party contractors with the possibility of being signed on as charter members of Phoenix Concepts. We ask only for a commitment of about 12 hours a week; though more time is always appreciated.

Hope to hear from you all soon! Thanks.
