Hey everyone. For the past few weeks I have been developing a 2D browser based MMORPG. It is going to have a fantasy/sci-fi theme to it. Thanks!
Team name:
Not an actual company but we call ourselves Barefoot Game Studios.
Project name:
No project name at the moment, writers and creative minds are needed for this aspect of development.
Brief description:
I plan on having a fully workable browser based MMORPG by the end of September 2007. My goal is to release a beta version of the game by mid summer 2007. Like I said, I have been working on the basics for the past few weeks but I would like to kick development into high gear over the coming weeks. This browser based game will have the same browser based games concepts with a few revolutionary idea. I would like to implement the idea of buying and/or battling for new territory along with a few other ideas I have been toying with.
Target aim:
Will be a closed source development but will be released for free for anyone with internet access to play.
Compensation:
The only compensation would come from advertising in the beginning. However, I hope to put special items into the game that you could only attain after a payment of 5-10$ which would lead to profits for all contributors.
Technology:
PHP
MySQL
javascript/AJAX
HTML/CSS(More for website presentation)
Talent needed:
Concept Artists - We are in dire need of artists. Someone with a good imagination that can expand on ideas from the writers and come up with good character designs etc.
Writers - Anyone with ideas is welcome. Everything is needed from the main quest to side quests to character designs to map design etc.
Web Designer - I am not all that good with website layouts so I would need someone to come up with a good layout based on the concepts that the writers come up with. Team artist will help create artwork if need be.
PHP Developers - Especially someone experienced in PHP/MySQL securities.

Additional Info:
This is a passion of mine that will not die. If you want to help out it will all be volunteer however I would expect you to devote a lot of time to it. I have a lot of ideas that I think would make this game very enjoyable to play but I need a great supporting cast to help get this project off the ground. Thanks and hope to hear from some of you soon!
