Eh, I usually just wear a hoodie and jeans.
Wearing clothes with logos and such kinda makes me feel like a walking advertisement, which is pretty much what the companies intend.
I just dont see how wearing a shirt with a brand name on it is considered "more stylish" then just a plain T-shirt.

As for shirts, I wear band shirts most of the time...or some other random shit. I'm not TOO picky (well, in comparison to some, who want brand names and shit)
As for shoes, I generally try to get nicer shoes, because I blow through them like no tomorrow.
But, during the summer? I have flip flops. Guess where from? Walmart. :D

I tend to wear tons of pants from Wal Mart, but i also shop at places like Goodwill or something for shirts. Finding a ninja turtle shirt for 25 cents is amazing, just wash it up before putting it on...i know waiting sucks huh.
Im also a huge music fan so i buy tons of shirts from bands at shows cause well, its like 8 bucks. And normally they are like 15 online. So, meh.
My shoes are a different story too. I HAVE to wear good shoes. I ride BMX and you really need well gripped shoes. Or your taking a shin hit in no time. Ouch

I also sometimes goto Hot Topic, they do get CDs in fairly well now, and yeah when shirts go on sale there they are super cheap. Thankfully, most kids who shop in hot topic are very small, and tend to wear smalls and Youth Larges. So my medium is still good. Thankssss kids

I usually just get cheaper brand pants/shorts from this Florida outlet store(Bealls) and as far as shirts most are Billabong. your nothing close to a metal head.
1.you have slipknot in your dp.
2. fingerless gloves are for fags.
3. most metal heads rarely wear studded belts due to the overun of scene fags/hardcore fags wearing them.
4. No metal head would be caught dead wearing converse or dc shoes. Real metal heads wear boots.
I'll call you emo, i'll be unharmed, and you'll most likely go cry in your closet.

your nothing close to a metal head.
Anyways. i dress like a complete ***, with metal T's. Use your imagination.
****in lol'd.
Anyway,
my shirts are usually from stores like kohls and such. Sometimes at Old navy, though i try not to get shirts that look totally homo and say something like "Moroone Beach, california (with a picture of a surfer or something). I havent ever heard of a place like that. I also get my band t shirts from online stores. I get my jeans from kohls also. And my shoes too. I try to stay away from places like AE,Hollister, or some other stupid store.

Real metalheads realise they don't need a uniform to be metalheads, because loving metal, appreciating metal and respecting metal is enough. Who's to say he isn't a metalhead in terms of the love?

There's a diference betwen loving metal, and being a metalhead.
Evry one knows what true metalheads look like. I, personaly aint a metalhead, i love metal music, but im not a metalhead. Saying being a metalhead is only about the music itself, is like having a white kid dressed in nike claim he's gangster cause he listens to 50 cent. Metalheads have there own mentality, traditions, and such, therefore are a trend, like emos, gangsters and all the other stupid shit you can stick a label onto it.

saddly, now, metalheads has grown into a trend, a lifestyle, another label.
Im only looking at things realisticly, anyone who lives in north america, and goes to alot of shows, can say the same.
O.o

Just because something comes out that adopts the same word, doesn't mean the old meaning is lost.
There's a fashion/scene known as "emo", it doesn't mean it applies to music and it doesn't mean the traditional and musical meaning is gone.
Back in the day, and even still, "metalhead" is used to describe someone who is very much into metal music. Regardless of whether it's a fashion or not, so the point remains that he could still very much be one.
I personally don't give a shit, I don't think anyone should put themselves in a box, then act like their box is better than anyone else's.

Well, clearly not, since you don't believe the term "metalhead" is applicable to someone who loves metal.

i simply dont like using the term when refering to people who simply love the music, like myself. Here, it doesent matter how much you love metal, how much of a die hard fan of opeth you are, or if you know the impact burzum had on black metal, or how much you think that cradle of filth is a retarded marylin manson for sexualy frustrated teenagers. Real ''metalheads'' in general most likely wont respect you, nor aknoledge you as a ''metalhead''. Not all metalheads here are as nice as power_gamer. Yeah, i'll agree that, at its source, ''metalhead'' means someone who loves metal, but here, its more of a trend now, the word really, has lost its original meaning, im not exagerating anything. hell, your moving to canada pretty soon, arent you? you should be able to see it for yourself, the situation is rather sad.
Another of the reasons i dont like to use the term metalhead here, is due to the mass prejudice and stereotypes that come with it.
But yes, i do agree with you that metalhead, is someone who loves metal, just, not to evry day society.
Also, sorry for the mass amount of bad spelling that's most likely in there, my frenchness shows even more when im tired =/

So it's more to do with you not wanting to have any ties whatsoever to "metalheads" of today, than it is of the term not being applicable? I can see why people do that, I just think it's wrong.
Like denying certain bands are "metal" just because you dislike THEM, but love metal.
Stereotypes are what you deserve when you WILLINGLY put yourself in a box, in my opinion.

Anyways, I usually wear:
a) band t-shirt (ie. Iron Maiden, Amorphis, Dream Theater)
or when I'm at home or don't have a band t-shirt on hand I wear a no-name black t-shirt usually.
b) hoody or sweater. My favourite is a Poets of Great Britain sweater. Not sure where it came from actually. Probably my mom got it for me when she and my sister went to England.
I'm saving up to buy the Roy Khanish jacket Cingal posted a while back :]
c) Special orthapaedic (sp?) black boots made by Magnum. Other shoes will often end up giving me foot cramps.
I'm also saving up for new boots because mine are pretty faded and a bit worn right now. Maybe I'll keep these for the next vicious Canadian winter, so the salt doesn't rape my new ones too.
d) crappy-*** black nylon winter coat from Old Navy.
Again, I'm currently saving up for something new. Probably a leather jacket. Something understated, though.
e) black Levi non-designer jeans with the labels torn off. Has nothing to do with trying to be a non-conformist or anything, it's just that Levis labels are ugly as sin.
Oh, and the reason I'm replacing alot of this stuff is because for the past three years or so I've been doing all my own shopping (except for food), and haven't had much money to do ti with. I'm getting a new job for the summer, and then another for the fall, so I'll be able to buy a bunch of nicer things with that money.

Metalhead and proud over here btw.
People who deny bands being metal just cause they don't like them, are stupid.
For example, I despise Slipknot, but I know for a FACT that they're metal.
Sure, nu metal is shit metal, but it's metal nonetheless. Unfortunately.
