Sniper elite. Battlefield 2 may be player vs player, but for right out sniping it's awful in comparison. Sniper elite is the best imo Third/FPS i've ever played. I found a full copy on ebay for 15 dollars, thats including shipping.

I have BF2, but want to play a diff game for a bit. Yeah i'm no skill sniper. I shoot someone and it's not a headshot, the hopping/running WILL own me. I'm not upset about it and it's probably in all games. I just want something not BF2 with decent sniping.

Well, try Soldier Front. Not the best game in the world, not the coolest game in the world, but sniping is feckin' easy.

easiest in the world is DoD (Day of Defeat, HL1 mod). Reason being people actually move realistically unlike most FPS games where people seem to be able to side-step in a heartbeat. Also, the bullet kills in one shot, no need for headshots. My personal favorite, since if you fall into a snipers crosshairs, unless he's bad or you're just damn lucky, you should go down, period.

Well, since BF2 is the best, most realistic, and has almost largest FPS community out there, you won't find a better looking game anywhere.Or the game that contains better content....I can guarantee you that.

Try Wolfenstein:Enemy Teritory. The sniping is alright and there's even a server that playes sniping only maps. Warrock's sniping is alright if you manage to get a decent rifle but I havent found any maps that I feel like are realy good for sniping. America's Army isn't bad either. But you have to pass the training missions to be able to snipe.

You have to pass the training missions just to play the game. I tried going online only passing half of my BCTs, and the thing shipped me right back to the course menu.

americas army rules. once you get past the training wich is easy, just go score some headshots, or chest shots. but either way i could do the training for you when i get my new comp, just pm me.

Training should be for advanced weapons. Most people can get it down without any of these courses anyway. But I guess I can't complain since America's army really does use this game to train. =/

Sniper rifle sniping off pilots... wow how realistic.
Takes so many shots to kill someone? Try getting hit in real life.

Good graphics and basic physics doesnt make a game realistic, americas army is more realistic and more "Updated" technology/weapons/vehicles. Who needs ingame voice support when u have programs like skype,ventrilo,teamspeak.

No, it's the fact that you can't run into a 25 man group like a mad man firing guns all over like you can in CS. You have to use strategy, talk to your teammate, and so on. As for voice support, it's much easier to get people into a game speaking program rather to have them download then search for IP. Take too damn long, especially if you change games.

Css+Awp+T+cs_office+long hall, easiest sniping ever to be in sniping history.

wow the whole what 2minutes or even less to put the ip in and port number of wow soooo long and its obvious you've never played a actual match on cs and not css as yes that is a game where you can run in and spray cause thats what i do in source and it makes me win but in 1.6 and cz its different, and bf2 its too easy i can just grab the engineer and shot gun ppl from long range or get in a tank and never be killed

I've gone 67-5 camping outposts in tank all day, no strategy or skill involved in that.

I'll have to say that sniper elite is so much better you just can't snipe in bf2 again. I shoot something and it starts limping or right out dies. I'll be getting my full copy in the mail some time this week and it has online co-op.
