Just travelled about 150miles to get a xbox 360 although not just for this reason and I bought one at an EB store. Got it home and noticed a problem right away. The seal was re-taped. When I opened the box none of the bags were on the components and i saw finger prints on the chrome part of the hard drive. I thought maybe they opened it to put the free game in so I fired up the system and voila, some guy named Alexander's account loads up onto Live. EB COMMITTED BLATENT FRAUD AGAINST ME! How on earth can they sell me this used ***** system with a straight face after paying so much money for it?

I'll be contacting the head office, the local store and possibly the local newspaper and go public with this. I thought about calling the police about fraud but that might be a bit extreme. Has anything like this happened to any of you? I just cannot believe my luck. This is just unspeakable and I've lost faith and trust in customer service completely.

this is why i don't shop at ebgames anymore, they've tried doing this to my splinter cell years ago when i bought it.

Wait, wait, hold up. Was this guy smart enough to use gloves when opening up the box? I mean, you notice the seal is re-taped. Why take a chance? Since it's possible he might have smudged over the prints, they may have a hard time figuring out if he just sat there and made it up to get a free console and his money, or not.

EBGames arn't bad, they are pretty up to date with their stock. Besides its the only games shop apart from gameswizards here in Australia, and there is an EBGames right next to where i live.

yeah, i bought a new splintercell at ebgames for gamecube a few years ago when i used to have a gamecube and they opened up the box and put the game in there and i was like wtf? and then when i walked out, my friend was like "i bet it's used". and i never shopped at ebgames again
