I doubt there is a template, and I am not even sure that Flash 8 is online accessable. Any ways, most people would recommend learning a programming language such as Visual Basics, C++ or C#. From there you get the basics and learn how to program and read the lines. After that you will probably have to learn networking and database managment. Any ways there isn't a simple layout, why do you think there are so little amounts of these? (Compaired to those wanting to do it.)

Please do not multi post we do not need that.
We are not here all the time. Any ways I would suggest just looking into programming languages.

More coherent English is certainly a must -- your original post lacks even sentence structure. The bottom line is: if we can't understand you, it's going to be very difficult to try to help you.

OK let me just say this. if you dont have any experience at all dont do this if you jump right into a gamedev looking to find a super easy way to make a game with some sort of program or pre built engine you will waste your time. learn a language make a game make a better game and so on and to make a mmo your going to need more than one person even though the guy that made NEAB did it by himself im sure he had an extensive knowledge of programing. not to metion you will need a server for a mmo and i doubt you will find a free one unless you make a game in PHP or ASP. and runing a server from your home breaks most TOS agreements with ISP's.

Its sad but true if you need a pre-built game engine you will fail.

Oh and this is the right section

you might get more help from here but most of these guys on here will treat you question like we didhttp://www.gamedev.net/

You cant build a house by yourself if you dont have the skills. Even if someone hands you the blueprints for a house, you still have to know carpentry, roofing, plumbing, electrical, etc, etc.

Its a similar process for MMOs. Think of an MMO as a house. If you want to make one yourself, you need the have the skills necessary to make it, even if someone gives you a template. If you dont have any game making skills at all, like art, programming, or design, then your game is doomed to fail.

You dont have to learn all of these skills. You can always ask for help to build your MMO, just as you would ask for help to build a house. Just attempt some of these skills and find out which one suits you best. Then, put as much of your game together as you can using your new skill. That will show people that you have a skill, you can work hard, and youre serious about your project. You'll get help after that, no sweat.

Online games are not simple. You might as well get that out of your head right now. Youre talking about your players trying different clothes... well, you or one of your future team members will have to make all of these clothes. Youll also have to worry about networking, security, scripting, etc, etc, etc. Theres so much to do!

Just build on a game making skill and use that time to get your game idea down on paper. If you have the patience and tenacity to do that, you have what it takes to make an MMO.

Good luck! :D

That's a nice analogy. I hope you don't mind if I borrow that one in the future. :)

You still have to know art, programming, and design if you do this alone. How are you going to know how to modify a template if you can't program in Flash? Especially since you will have to program these games and the paperdolling youre talking about from scratch.

I suggest reading tutorials about Flash programming, maybe its easier than you think. :)

@Hope: No prob. :D

Cough*bull **** *Cough* You might have helped build a house when you where 12 but nothing by yourself. A nail gun at that age would have so much backwards thrust on you.
But like the others said, just learn a language, study it. Don't jump straight into a MMO,

I wouldn't be so sure. My friend Paul was a big kid and could have probably used a nail gun no problem at that age. My question is how did he know how to wire the place and plumb it by local specs?
