Looking for a Shooting MMORPG, any suggestion would be appreciated.
I'm alittle over all the hack and slash rpg games out there been playing them for over 10 years now.

Items I want.
Ongoing stats/items
Some kind of lvling up or increase in skills
Doesn't have to be First person 3RD is fine
Sci Fi, Past or Present also fine
PVE content not really looking for PVP based game but at the same time some pvp is great

Do any exist? and if so are they any good?

instead of all that rpg parts that your looking for in your next game, might i suggest Quake Wars? it is probably the greatest thing to hit the FPS market next to cs. If u want to get into shooting, get quake wars! O.o

edit: btw the game comes out in like 2 weeks

Get quake wars, it is probably the greatest thing to hit the FPS market next to cs.

Are you high? lol ... Unreal Tournament 99 is still (despite the age of the game) one of the most actively played fps around today.

If you are lookin to bum around on something, you can check out monster hunt in either ut99 or ut2k4.

You basically go through different maps with a set number of rounds, each round the number and difficulty of the monsters increase ... as you kill them, you gain xp and level up, with that xp you can then level up various things for your character.

Ut99 has been mod'd so many times for so many different things it's not even funny :)

Can pretty much play anything there hehe.

Tabula Rasa and Hellgate: London are going to be what you want, but both will be B2P and P2P. Yes, Hellgate as a F2P part to it, but it's gonna suck so bad you'll be forced to pay the $9.99 a month for the "Elite" content.

They are both games with FPS gameplay and actually leveling of your character RPG style in skills, gear, and such.

replicant beat me to it but if you want something to tide you over till huxley then hellgate londons a good one a 1st and 3rd person, your choice rpfpsmmo set in the ruins of london with demons everywere, its pretty cool, if a bit on the mindless blaster side.

the only shooters that i know of is Americas Army and Gunz. sorry i can't be more help, im not big on shooters.

you know i was very suprised that no one mentioned Neocron(not F2P sadly but there is a server emu in the works for Neocron 1,also i know P-servers are illegal,but since the offical server is dead it should be fine)
