To the Exteel Community,

As you all know it is now April and the next phase of the Exteel beta test has not yet begun. As a result, many of you have asked me a wide variety of questions through the private message system and I apologize for not being able to address these concerns sooner. As dedicated beta testers, you all deserve to know the state of Exteel as it stands today.

The Exteel development team in South Korea is currently undergoing a restructuring of staff. Currently we are carefully evaluating the current infrastructure as we look forward, exploring all of the options available to us. Due to these changes we will not be following the announced timeline for Exteel; we simply did not feel that it would be appropriate to start the next phase of the beta test under these conditions.

I wish I could provide additional details on the future of Exteel - specifically, timelines – but that information has not yet been determined. NCsoft North America and NCsoft South Korea will continue to develop a plan of action for moving forward. We’re still excited about the potential Exteel brings to online gaming - I’d like to once again emphasize that there are many options to explore here, and each and every one of these options is currently being looked into.

I’d also like to note that any additional updates on Exteel will be sent directly to our Closed Beta testers via email. We want to make any new information regarding Exteel easily accessible to all involved.

On behalf of the Exteel team I want to thank each and every beta tester for participating in Closed Beta. We are enthusiastic about Exteel and we look forward to getting back in touch with our beta community with further updates. Your feedback and involvement has tremendous impact on us all as we continue to move toward Exteel’s launch.

That sounds to me like "Wait another 2 months and we will anounce what we do not know yet." *sigh* Oh well, might as well wait another year huh?....

Thanks for the info Galcian :)

Restructuring of staff when the company has quite a few games due for release ... bad choice~

I dont think the choice is as bad as one might think... they were way behind their own set scedule for release for most of their games, so restructuring after learning what is the cause of that problem seems quite good to me. Atleast they show to the community that they dont just keep up making the same mistakes over and over again. Even though its true that in a marketing sense its a real bad choice to wait anylonger with the releases. But i like Developer/Publisher who dont care to need more time as long as the Game comes out without much bugs and glitches, or to put it in another way: I like it when they think of the Fans/Players b4 they think of quick money.

Did somebody else noticed that the sign in button is not there anymore?

I think it was mainly for the CB test's registration.

That's exactly what it sounds like....

I stopped following the game for a while to see if any updates or anything happened while i was gone..but i guess not.

One can only wait for something for so long, before they just say "F**k it..."

and again question issues why stop american development when korean is down ?? the koreans are playing already and are nto being bothered by this so i say screw NCsoft and lets go with bombarding them after stealing the server files so an exteel private server can be made

you need quite a server... it was pretty laggy for awhile, and people had crashing problems. >> i'd rather play OB than a pserver.
