well its easy to call someone a loser after you gun down 30 something people. Anyone who guns down that many people is a loser.
I think it's kind of bad that they can't find anyone who even knew the guy. I can't imagine spending that many years and not even having anyone who knows me. It's not excusing his actions at all. What he did was terrible, but I think if he had friends they could have helped him through the situation possibly.

Friends or family help. Period if he had a proper on of either of those he would be better off. He should have sticked to playing mmprpgs. Or even worse someone put a block on all games causing him to go CRAZY cause he couldnt play maplestory thus causing the incident
OMG....

* Gunman identified as Cho Seung-hui, a 23-year-old English major from South Korea
* Cho called a loner by university official
* Reasonable to assume Cho was shooter in both dorm and classroom, police say
* Police: Victims found in four classrooms, stairwell
Oh great his korean. He reminds me of that cs clip, with a guy going chaos mode after his comp got infected by a virus then went on a shooting spree. -_-

So he was invited to America on a visa, and starts killing people? That's worse than an American doing it, but not by much.
And I know pretty soon there's going to be a lot of racism against South Korea.

He immigrated when he was 8. He was like 23 during the shooting. So its not like he came here randomly and killed 33 people (including himself because he committed suicide).

Its sad really, what the state of things has become in this world...that people can be SO outcasted by society, so built up with hate, that they unleash it in such an irrational way. My teacher explained it to us today...and he has LOTS of experience with people...he has us do exercises every few weeks, where we greet X number of people in the hall way. He told us to watch "even if you feel like the people think your just a creep, watch their expressions. They change when they notice you, regardless if its positively or negatively, you just made an impact on that person. If it was a loner, a person who has been cast out, you may have just made the difference in that persons life that he or she needed". Granted, it IS hard to believe a simple "hello" to a stranger could change the outcome of ones life...its worth a shot. Think about that, the next time you pick on a person...think about how your effecting them, and how it could wear over time. Reach out to an individual, and try to make a difference.

Actually-
FIRST, he shot the girl he'd been stalking the whole time (Why? Because she tried him.)
THEN, he shot the people that ****ed with him.
Afterwards, he killed a random score. Basically, those who were not alerted.

Well, considering I'm a loner and I don't hang out with anyone. As a loner, someone talking to me doesn't "change my life" it's just annoying.
What seperates me from the Cho guy, as well as many other ways, is that I'd never shoot up a school. To be honest, no one in this world is worth throwing my life away in that manner. If I'm gonna commit suicide, I'm not gonna take anyone down with me, this world is miserable enough.
You'd be surprised about college life. It's a lot easier to go through unnoticed except maybe the professor may recognize you. In middle school and High school it's much easier because your classes are narrowed down to only about 20-40 students rather than 100 or however many, it varies really.
The guy just had a crazy breakdown and went asian blitz on them for whatever the nutty reason is(yes when we know better what the reason is, it will be stupid). No matter what, you can't have a perfect system, someone or something is always gonna slip through the cracks. Now is just when everyone points fingers every which way (gun control) for someone to blame since the guy killed himself.
Also, Oisterboy, sincerity helps if you want to reach out to someone. Doing it because you don't want them to go on a murder spree isn't gonna help. Doing it because you care about the person helps much more.
how come it seems like the usa is the crack that almost all of these school shooters slip through? i think i've heard of a school shooting happening only once outside of the usa but i might be mistaken.

Well it would happen in Iraq but the schools are usually shut down by the militia before the shooting takes place.

While his reasons and actions are pretty much doubting I could see why he was so insane. I don't hear us making memorials for the people dying in Africa. Only Americans?

my mother thought people were ignoring him when it was the other way around. they were giving him a chance to make friends. yet he refuses and kills random people after a few years later. wow! :/
