actruly chinese and taiwanese games need IDs of course...and now days japaneses game company are using the korean's idea of txting you a code to activate ur account...or telephoning ur house etc. etc.
so mayb in a few years Foreign gaming would be nearly totaly impossible...

I am just adding on to what Nzrock is saying. Also in a few years..even by chance if you do have a kssn and register an account. They will need to verify with dob/picture id or some other way of proving you belong to the kssn you used. So yes the korean gaming companies are getting more strict with registrations.
But on another note...Japan seems to be buying the license to korean online games lately. Also alot of korean games are seeing rise and becoming global. Just to name a few Kart rider/Lunia/ghost soul/trickster/exteel/hero/scions of fate/silkroad/goonzu/sky blade etc...
GamenGame Ijji, webzen and netgame are just a few companies that are bringing korean games global. So if you do see a game you like thats korean and want to play it in english. Then there is a high chance within a year or two an english version will pop up.

Yeah, about every game coming out of Korea is in need of a KSSN to play.
However, at this point, the security regulation that pisses me off the most is the one that requires me to use a cellphone to verify my account(DAMN YOU DnF!)
