Well its really up to you.
I'm going for Musketeer, Fighter, Scout in early game.
Later i will switch my scout to wizard.

i might try a combo, of a melee, range and a magey type, see how it goes, means i get a comb of diffrent types, or go for a one set type.

every thing is so balanced..i have 3 fighters and it is awesomely fun and good... i was just wonderin...say i get to lvl 100 (prolly wont happen) and i wanted to make a new guy, could i pair the lvl 100 and the lvl 1 and just super lvl the lvl 1?

i have 2 fighters and 1 scout, i will later replace a fighter with a wizard
my advice is dont put spellcasters/musks with fighters because the spellcasters/musks will kill everything before the fighters get near them
however wizards are supposed to be really good in later levels with their airbourne stance (cant remember the name)

I use two musketeers to kill and the fighter to provoke and colletc items,,

I dont think there is a "best" combo of chars but im using my 2 Musk and scout for the rest game or i might change one for a ele later on.

I started out with Wizard, Scout, and Elementalist. Then my life changed when I found GUGNIR! I had already made a spear character but did not plan on leveling her till I got to porto bello. I was gonna rush to 40 but not now. Now my party is Robedeaux guard, Scout, and Lisa Lynway.

I have a Fighter, Musketeer, and a Wizard. They usually kill most things quick.

the levitation or soemthing stance eats your mana every second >.<

Mana pot like crazy. Wizard is almost required to use them since the regen is so slow :( Since I stopped using my wiz and ele I have barely spent any money.

guys im doing a mask+wiz+fighter Squad and its pretty dam easy and good to use!
Mask does sum nice aoe while wiz does sum beasty damage, then i have the figther to do melee damage or tank, which is helping alot, and im leveling like crazy, "plus cash isnt to bad atm,"
its not the "best" squad, but its pretty neat once you learn how to use it.
But best squad depends on how the player "uses" a squad more than how a squad is formed, as placement, Stances and other things are a must into making a good squad, as ive noticed stances make a HUGE change in how your squad reacts in sum ways, but sum good sum bad, try combos out and see what you come up with.
Oh btw, mask is a must in a squad from my eyes, has sum Crazy ass DPS attacks!

fighter(pure defense stances) musk and scout(healer) this allows me to take thing on 5-10lvls above mine without even breaking a sweat i even go afk half the time

people will learn around lvl 20 that you need a scout in your party specialy when one the the elites spawn on your party right as the time you dumb ai controlled musk attacks a trap and you got 30 mobs on you

Now that's how you use a fighter. Anything else is done better by RNPC's.

It's all fun and games till you can't auto res anymore. Mass cure and res will save you from dying, loosing exp, and buying a lot of return scrolls later on. But there are ways to survive without a scout. Like using 2 Bernellis with shotguns and a wizard or something like that. Immobilize and aoe over and over. With that setup you would have web or sanduman and distraction shot. Or if you don't mind using a lot of potions Fighter full defense stance. Provoke and aoe with ele, wizard, or whatever.
But hey don't listen to me. I like to do crazy stuff for fun. Like leveling traps to 16. Do whatever you are comfortable with. You can always power level a new character if you need them later on. Or use an RNPC.

Pros-
1. Insane DMG
2. Range
3. Insane DMG
4. Speed (right gear)
Cons-
Not many just the healing part
At first its hard because you got no money for healing pots
But later on its easy and cheaper as you go on
Me-
Why waste a slot for a fool that people will go for first when you can have 2500dmg instant atk and kill someone b4 they even get close?

Oh man this game is starting to sound really good..im downloading now so im all hyped up about it..
When i do eventualy download the whole game ill probably go Fighter,Wizard and MusketeerXD
