Jagex made a separate type of essence becasue of people who were "auto mining" the essence on free worlds. I found the change to be annoying and I even got scammed once by paying pire essence prices for regular essence.
Basically Pure Essence is members....you can craft Nats, Laws, all members runes.
Regular essence is a duller color and you can only craft free world runes such as air, water, earth, fire, mind, body.

You see , now , Members Essence is called "Pure Essence",
And Rune Essence is only able to make Free to Play Runes. So....Rune Essence is only possible to make Free World Runes....like Minds, Airs, Waters, Earths, and Fires, which can be bought in any Runes shop for about 5 gp each.
a guy kept bothering me about buying essnce so I figured Id be nice and buy 6667 Rune Essecne off him for 200k ( 30 gp each) He later gave me 120k back, see NOTE above
Then I went to make Natures Runes and couldnt.
Then I read the update more carefully and realized these new darker Rune Essence could only make Free World Runes! Thnx Jagex for setting me up to get ripped off.
