I just noticed this new section, and I am curious to know how many of us MMO gamers actually watch anime more then other subjects. I didn't know there was such a massive ammount of anime fans to need a forum based around it (not that I mind). I just haven't been seeing vast ammounts of threads strictly about anime, or perhaps, I just havent been paying attention enough.


So, how many of you folk watch anime more then persay other sections i.e. Crime Drama's.

Well, I wouldn't call myself one of those types of people who watch anime more then those soaps etc. But I do watch anime whenever I have the time, at the moment trying to watch Deathnote...

Well,I prefer reading the mangas instead,the only animes I really loved are Elfen Lied,The melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and Shakugan no Shana,I think those 3 are great animes,beside that,I prefer mangas.

I watch them when I have time. Which really isn't the case right now because I'm about to start finals tommorow and I'm inundated with work.

Anime: 1-10 hours per week
Gaming: 20-40 hours per week
TV: 3-8 hours per week
Sports: 2-12 hours per week

But that is going to change after school is over.

My times change a lot though. It all depends on what I feel like. If I feel like watching some new cool anime, then I go!

omg Eva is just....insane. i watch anime whenever i get the chance. I usually bittorent them and burn them into Cd's, i have a couple of piles consisting of Initial D, Hellsing, Eva, Golden Boy, Blood Trinity, Naruto, Trigun, and Full Metal Panic

I watch it whenever I can, though I'm not fanatical about it. Anime, in my opinion, is better then regular TV anywhere anytime, because it almost always has a good storyline (Whether or not it's childish or very adult depends on what your watching), and the animation is a nice respite from some of the dumbass actors who make movies these days (As long as you kill the dub, that is)

And if anyone is going to start anything on NGE, wait for me, that show is like a god among anime. Took me a year to fully realize how awesome it was, though.

I realize what Evenagelion is all about and all that jazz... still never liked it at all. We all have our own tastes I suppose. I can't really stand anime that is a "mind fuck" as Fabian put it. My tastes very from Chobits, on to more serious anime like Full Metal Alchemist. So I like a large variety of the anime out there.

I like it mostly not for the fact that it's a "Mund Fuck" show, but more because of it's depth of character and emotion, not to mention that you can watch the show twenty times and still be picking out things you didn't notice the time before.

So all in all, I like how it makes you think and feel, at the same time. I've never experienced an anime quite like it.

I have both Animesuki and Baka-updates rss feeds on my google reader (set as my hme page) and download the newest episode the second it comes out.

im a fan of older anime, classic gundam series, trigun, hellsing, outlaw star. i like a few of the newer anime, but not many of them, a very few had story and character devlopment that kept me wanting to watch, in the newer id have to say death note, the gundam seed series, FMA, FLCL.
i watched all of the trinity blood but that was honestly a huge letdown. story started off great, then there was pointless fillers, and the ending was horible. oh well.

I agree with you on Trinity Blood. I was watching the series hopeing to see some "past tech" pop up and get used. I got so hyped when they revealed teh rocket. I was, "they're are so gonna launch that thing!" But alas, the last episode came and I let out a roar, crying, "that can't be the end, THAT CAN"T BE THE END!!! What about the rocket?! WHAT ABOUT THE F_ING ROCKET?!?!?!?!"

my school doesnt have a website block. i play mmos on the school computers, i've download southpark episodes, and some classmates put porn on them. my school is closing this year though, only 45 students in the whole school.

I love anime but the only ones I see are usually the ones on [adult swim], but some of them don't fit my taste...

LOST is the only drama TV show I watch(some times heros). Family guy,South park, Simpsons, American dad TV cartoon I watch. Naruto, bleach, deathnote are the anime I watch. A good stuff.

What are you talking about, Lucky Star is a great show. I can't stop cracking up at all the gameing puns they keep throughing. Just because you don't like a show doesn't mean you should turn other people away from watching it. The show is in Moe style (hence all pink and the lyrics of the opening), it's mean for Otaku's.

If you don't know what an otoku is then don't watch the show, but please stop spreading hate about a good show (by the way, how many episodes have you seen, cause the first episode does suck)

no.......i'd really rather watch Code Geass season two.....maybe that new Gundam Unicorn show comming around......heck i'll possibly even go low enough to watch Skull Man, or Shining Tears X ( which is possibly the most steriotypical RPG-> anime you can ever see!)
