Read First!

Okay okay, I know what you're thinking. This show is great. But hear me out. If if didn't watch Samurai X first, don't reply.. Because thats why I hate Rurouni Kenshin.. They made him act so uncool, say oro, get beat up by that annoying girl. Be a little pussy and not kill. Like, okay, I know his reasons. But why do you suck? In the movie he was so awesome, but now he's just a little pussy, and everyone he meets he makes them into pussys aswell. The show has some good moments, but what really made it shitty was the oro moments.. Its not cool, nor funny, nor cute. Its dumb, made me hate the series.. How could they turn such a great movie into such garbage.. HE WAS SO MUCH COOLER BEFORE!

Agreed. Samurai X was everything that Kenshin needed to be. They watered it down.

Why u guys hattin on Kenshin man. I saw Samurai X and Rurouni Kenshin, but basically it was Kenshin i saw first before Samurai X. Rurouni Kenshin was my "first" samurai anime i ever saw before others took its place and shoved the show off CartooNetwork and Adult Swim. So i hve pleny o reasons to back it up.

Um the OVA was made AFTER the series. The same thing happened with the Hellsing and Hellsing OVA. Honestly how can you even compare a OVA made by a third party to the original series? Also if you remember the story line at ALL he stops becoming a killer because of all the kind of things that happen in the OVA.

Rurouni Kenshin was also my first samurai anime and in my opinion it's still the best one.

But, like Hellsing and the Hellsing OVA, the OVA was based on the original story, and the series was something made with a new story-line.
